General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
To train high quality professional bachelors in banking and finance who is able to plan, organize, identify business entity‘s and processes of financial institutions, to control service of the banks as manage customer service itself.
Learning outcomes:
1. Knowledge and its application.
• To know the fundamental theories, which enable to understand and evaluate the external factors of business environment.
• To apply the methods of finance professional activity analysis.
2. Ability to perform research
• To use quantitative and analytical methods when performing empirical study.
3. Special skills
• To apply properly banking activity regulating legislation and other normative documents.
• To use modern tools in order to systematize, summarise economic and financial data and manage all documentation.
• To use modern computer information technologies in the field of managing electronic banking service.
• To understand and manage banking products, services and offer them to clients.
• To make suggestions to bank customers regarding the finance, investment and risk management issues.
• To assess bank financial condition and performance results.
• To perform the execution of financial control.
4. Social skills
• Communicate in Lithuanian and foreign languages, integrate into multicultural environment, ethically and professionally solve the tasks of professional activity.
5. Personal skills
• Independently develop professional competence considering market developments.
• To be aware of one’s responsible activities and their results both of positive and negative potential impact.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Are focused on development of general and special competences and creativity education: lectures, seminars, discussions, individual and group project works, practical seminars, case study, public presentations and defence, concept map, science papers preparation, information search and systematization and etc.
Methods of assessment of learning outcomes:
Evaluation of learning outcomes is performed applying the cumulative assessment during the entire semester and exam session. Learning outcomes are evaluated through the intermediate settlements: test, project, project public presentation and defence, individual creative tasks, seminars, term papers, practice reports, seminars, exams and final thesis.
