The aim of the Electrician of railway automation and power supply system’s equipment modular vocational training programme is intended to prepare a qualified electrician of railway automatics and power supply system’s equipment, which, according to the normative technical documentation, be able independently maintain and repair railway automatics and power system’s equipment. This programme is intended for continuing vocational education and training. The programme contains 3 compulsory modules: Applying schematic diagrams of railway automation systems, Railway automation equipment maintenance and repair, Power supply equipment maintenance and repair. Both theoretical and practical training are planned within the modules. The following competencies will be assessed in the final assessment: Applying schematic diagrams of railway automation systems during equipment maintenance and repair, performing maintenance and repair of railway interlocking operation and control equipment, performing maintenance and repair of semi-automatic route locking, automatic route locking and automatic route locking with audio frequencies track circuits equipment, performing repairs on railway contact network. The assessment of other acquired competencies will be performed on the basis of knowledge and understanding upon completion of the module.
