Description

Object of activities: provision of oral care services, assisting a dentist, specialist dentist or oral hygienist, organization of clinic work.
Typical work tools: dental equipment, sterilization equipment, dental X-ray diagnostic equipment, light polymerization lamps, dental instruments, optical devices, dental materials, infection control equipment.
Typical working conditions: indoor work, individual and team work.
Additional information: the dental assistant follows the Lithuanian medical norm MN 24: 2017 “Dental Assistant”, approved by the Order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania of 16 October 2007 No. V-835 “On Approval of the Lithuanian Medical Standard MN 24: 2017“ Dental Assistant”, internal rules of the institution, occupational safety and health, ergonomics, hygiene norms and infection control, radiation safety, fire safety and environmental protection and other activities requirements of the applicable legislation. Qualified individuals will be able to work in institutions that have a valid license for dental care (assistance) institutions to provide dental care (assistance) and / or oral care services, which according to legal requirements must be provided by dental assistants together with dentists or other dental specialists.
