Description

Access to professional activity:
The graduates of the study programme of Pedagogy of History and the English Language will be able to work as history teachers in Lithuanian comprehensive schools, implementing the programmes of basic, secondary and non-formal education in Lithuanian and English or working according to the International Baccalaureate programmes, as well as in schools, where history is taught following the principle of integrated teaching of history and a foreign language (CLIL); the graduates will be able to work in international schools in Lithuania, and Lithuanian formal and non-formal education institutions and vocational schools in foreign countries; as well as be employed as teachers of English as a foreign language in Lithuanian comprehensive schools as well as language courses.
Access to further study:
The graduates of the study programme Pedagogy of History and the English Language will be able to continue their studies in the second cycle (Master degree) studies of Lithuanian Local History or Educational Sciences at Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences. They will also be able to choose the studies of History or Educational Sciences in other universities of Lithuania. Having accumulated additional 90 credits in the study field of English Philology, they will be able to further continue their studies in the second cycle to acquire the Master’s degree in English Philology.
