Summary of the Profile

Objective(s) of a study programme:
To train teachers of English who are able to communicate in accurate English language in both oral and written form , have a good command of the English language system, are able to assess the social, economic and cultural context of the English language, develop intercultural awareness, create and organize the process of language development, assess students‘ achievements and communicate and colaborate with other participants in the process of education
Learning outcomes:
The graduate of the programme will be able :
1. To communicate in accurate English language in both oral and written form and assess the social, economic and cultural context of the English language.
2. To master the English language system, compare the peculiarities of production of English and the mother tongue
3. To create favourable environment for education and organize the process of language development
4. To assess students‘ achievements
5. To manage analysis and disseminattion of good practice
6. To use modern technologies and teacing aids.
7. To create democratic atmosphere in the classroom and school
8. To communicate and colaborate with other participants in the process of education.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Lectures, seminars, practical classes, practice
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Accumulative grading strategy is applied; thinking abilities of analysis and synthesis are assessed by means of the methods of case study, project preparation and literature analysis. Learning achievements are assessed during the semester by means of interim examinations and tests, description and oral presentation of practical and independent study assignments and during the final examination of the subject. Examinations and tests are performed in the written or written and oral form. The methods of assessment are linked to the competences to be developed and the teaching style. Learning achievements are assessed by means of the bachelor‘s final project.
