General Description:
Objective(s) of the study programme:
To prepare for the labour market competitive, highly skilled specialists in structural engineering systems who have the knowledge, skills and abilities to work in the field of structural engineering, able to operate in competitive working conditions and to solve professional and societal problems.

Learning outcomes:
-They will have a general knowledge of mathematics, physical sciences and technology in their chosen field of study.
-Know and understand the key concepts and content of the field of study of civil engineering.
-They will have basic and up-to-date knowledge relevant to working in the field of building engineering systems.
-They will be familiar with digital technologies and their applications in civil engineering.
-They will be able to find, organise and interpret relevant information in the field of civil engineering.
-Be able to carry out experiments and investigations necessary for the design of building engineering systems and the control of technological processes, analyse their results, draw conclusions and apply them in practice.
-Be able to participate in working groups in the implementation of building engineering systems projects, taking into account the principles of the circular economy, artificial intelligence, digitalisation of construction projects, ethical, environmental, commercial, operational, occupational health and safety considerations and the development of a sustainability concept.
-Able to read and analyse drawings, calculations and technical documents for building engineering systems projects.
-Be able to solve civil engineering problems and to select appropriate methods, experimental and production equipment to solve them.
-Understand the design methodologies for building engineering systems and be able to use specialised design software.
-Have working skills with equipment used in building engineering systems.
-They will be able to solve practical civil engineering problems, such as designing building engineering systems, selecting materials, organising the installation of engineering systems, and ensuring work safety.
-At the level of engineering operations, have a basic understanding of the key aspects of project execution and management of engineering systems.
-Able to work collaboratively with professionals in other professional activities.
-Able to solve engineering problems individually and in a team.
-Understand the impact of engineering decisions on society and the environment, observe professional ethics and standards of engineering practice, and understand responsibility for the results of engineering activities.
-Understand the importance of and prepare for individual lifelong learning.
-Be able to communicate with the engineering community and the general public in correct Lithuanian and at least one foreign language.
-Be able to cooperate with professionals in other professional activities.

Activities of teaching and learning:
Lectures, tutorials, practical and course work, independent studies, seminars, discussions,
Practical training, field trips, lectures by business representatives, distance learning. The study programme culminates in the presentation and defence of a final thesis prepared independently by the student.

Distinctive features of a study programme:
The program is focused on the selection and application of installation technologies for engineering systems in buildings. The student has the knowledge necessary to prepare projects for building engineering systems, organize management and maintenance of engineering systems.

A graduate of the study program will be able to work in companies whose field of activity is the design, installation, management and maintenance of engineering systems. They will also be able to create their own business and pursue higher academic education.
