General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
To prepare a professional bachelor of fashion design who is able to independently analyze fashion product (clothing, accessories, etc.) trends; create and design individual clothing from various materials; create industrial commercial collections of fashion products; construct clothing using computer programs; select and apply optimal sewing technologies.

Learning outcomes:
1. Knowledge and its application
• To know the historical and contemporary development and concepts of fashion design and to apply this knowledge in practical professional activities.
• To know the principles of fashion design management and to apply them in the implementation of creative projects
2. Research skills
• To experiment and creatively generate ideas using the results of fashion design research.
3. Special skills
• To visualize and present creative ideas using means and methods of artistic expression.
• To create authorial collections, experimenting in a historical, ethnic or conceptual context.
• To apply design materials, innovative and traditional clothing production technologies, implementing clothing collections.
• To perform technical design of models using visual and information digital technologies.
• To present creative ideas using visual and information technologies at the national and international level.
4. Social skills
• Communicate with colleagues, potential clients and the community when implementing professional tasks.
• Understand the relationship between a designer and a client, business, consumer, and co-authors, guided by professional ethics and citizenship.
5. Personal skills
Organize and manage the process of implementing an artistic project, realizing moral responsibility for the results of one's creative activities, their impact on society, economic, cultural development and the environment.

Activities of teaching and learning:
Oriented towards the development of general and professional competencies and the development of creativity: lectures, professional practices, discussions, individual and group project work, case analysis, public presentation and defense of works, discussions, information search and systematization, etc.

Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
The assessment of the program's study results is carried out throughout the semester and during the exam session, using cumulative assessment. Study results during the semester are assessed during interim assessments: test paper, project, public presentation and defense of the project, independent creative tasks, internship reports, exams and final project.

Distinctive features of a study programme:
The program is focused on studies in the field of arts, the basis of which is the creation, design and implementation of fashion products (clothing, accessories, etc.). The aim is to develop a creatively thinking, responsible, communicative, and culturally valuable designer who is able to analyze information from the fashion world, evaluate the features of the human figure, visualize creative ideas using various means and methods of artistic expression, select materials and accessories to implement projects for clothing collections or individual clothing models, present them to the public, and develop a fashion business. Students can study and do internships abroad, using funds from various foundations, bilateral agreements, and participate in international training programs.

Access to professional activity:
The acquired qualification entitles you to work in fashion product (clothing, accessories, etc.) production and service companies as clothing designers, designer-constructors, designer-technologists, designer-consultants. A designer can create his own business, work as an individual creator.
