General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
Training a socially responsible, continually improving his/her skills architect of great erudition, who in cooperation with specialists from other fields would be able to carry out architectural activities holistically, rationally and in creative way, while solving complex problems of physical space shaping in global and constantly changing environment.

Z1 Ability to link the resent knowledge of architectural history, theory, and other humanitarian, social and technological sciences and arts, addressing topical issues in architecture.
Z2 Able to apply knowledge of building structures, engineering systems, material science in the preparation of architectural projects.
Z3 Able to apply urban design and planning knowledge into the planning process.
Z4 Able to apply knowledge of sustainable development in creating convenient, climatic environment corresponding buildings, that meet human needs.
Z5 Able to apply knowledge of project development, legal regulation and process control in architectural activities
Ability to conduct research:

Activities of teaching and learning:
Teaching, learning and assessment system is constructed pursuant to implementation of the programme tasks. Therefore teaching methods cover the combination of lectures, seminars, practical classes, consultations, field trips, workshops, elements of independent work, research work and practice. This ensures communication of necessary knowledge to a student, attainment of practical skills and formation of values.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Criteria-based proportional ten point grade system is applied for assessment of students’ knowledge to find out whether a student is educated as much as is required according to a certain criterion. The assessment system is applied to evaluation of examinations, course projects, course works, homework, tests and other tasks. The stages, proportions and structure of students’ accountability are foreseen in detail in the module card of each subject.

Study subjects (modules), practical training:
The program consists of 15 credits of general university education subjects, 279 credits for the field of study subjects and 6 credits of free choice of subjects. The major part of the program consists of study subjects (core) and here the general architectural study subjects covers 66 credits, building engineering subjects - 24 credits, the main field of study subjects - 120 credits, social sciences - 12 credits, practices - 18 credits (including 12 credits for professional practice), and Master's thesis consist of 36 credits.

The programa provide 6 credits for free choise. Students' alternative selection of the subjects includes 108 credits (of 11 groups of choice).
Distinctive features of a study programme:
This program is integrated studies (5-year; (300 credits). Program graduates are awarded a master of architecture degree. The program is partially implemented by modular study principle, study curriculum is designed by problematic principle, Study subjects are arranged sequentially in the direction of tasks complexity. The new, inclusive teaching and learning methods are applied: studying in non-traditional environments, experiential learning, learning tasks are solved in real-life situations and so on. Students are given the possibility to shape their study content by implementing alternative subject choices.

Access to professional activity:
Graduates of the integrated architecture study program will be able to work in the architectural and engineering design, urban planning, construction companies as design architects and their assistants. Architects can work as an admintrators in the municipalities, the Ministry of Environment, Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, in regional and national parks, in the divisions that supervise the fields of landscape architecture, urban planning, cultural heritage. Master of architecture can also carry out research and teaching activities in universities, colleges, continue their studies in doctoral programs.
After studies have gained design experience in architects offices, graduates can become certified architects who can provide services throughout the European Union.
