Summary of the Profile

Objective(s) of the study programme:
The Joint study programme “Marketing and Media Art” goal - to develop professionals for a dynamic and global labour market in meeting the needs of creative and innovative media and marketing, who are able to practice the business of media and project work, both individually and in a team. Study program is linked to its purpose - to provide college education, knowledge, abilities and skills that enable a professional to create, manage media products, the implementation of media projects in business and leadership, ability to work in a team. The aim and purpose of a clear and detailed description of graduate careers media and marketing.
Learning outcomes:
Joint degree programme “Marketing and Media Art” designed for study results in competences for complex specialists’ in media and marketing, possessing tasks and content diversity. Since problem solving in various professional fields, using a variety of tools and methods, for carrying out the activities require the use of extensive communication sciences, new media, marketing complex of theoretical knowledge, based on a new and applied research and essential to the new install.
The study results include the ability to plan activities according to the objectives, analyse and record their performance and report to the coordinating person adjust activities, taking into account the results of the analysis and recommendations of experts and carry out a wide range of project activities, to adapt to constant and unpredictable change, which leads to knowledge and technology.
Upon completion of “Marketing and Media Art” joint degree program graduates:
• will understand business as innovation, characterized by the socio-economic value creation and efficient deployment of the production and / or commercial process of grounding; will know the marketing concept and the importance of marketing in business; will understand media as a communication tool for information transfer;
• will apply appropriate marketing research methods and instruments , analyse , systematize and summarize research data; will analyse and evaluate the elements of the marketing – “product”, “price” , “distribution” , “promotion” - the results will obtain in practice; will investigate and evaluate consumer behaviour , analyse and evaluate the different types of media , most appropriate marketing objectives; will be able to segment the market according to selected criteria for evaluation, analysis and evaluation of the marketing mix elements of interaction between media work; will create a concept plan and organize multimedia project; will implement practical the idea of media work using all text video, audio elements, specifically the application of technique, technology and safety standards in the media industry;
• will understand and foster their identity, effective communication and collaboration in a multicultural professional environment; will address challenges innovative and creatively in the development of a sustainable and ethical activities; will initiate new activities responsibly exploit opportunities for assessing and managing change and the risks , understand the need for self-development, will be able to analyse, evaluate and develop themselves in a changing environment; will take decisions independently and responsibly, will justify them, will follow the generally accepted principles of professional and ethical standards.
Activities of teaching and learning:
In the Joint study program “Marketing and Media Art” selecting study methods, the priority is given to innovative methods, oriented to the development of students‘ general and concentration competencies of the Joint study program: auditorium hours (time spending with academic staff), student independent working hours (time spending working individually, performing compulsory practice to prepare for evaluation and time is needed for the evaluation).
In order to check if the students have achieved expected learning outcomes of the Joint study program, these assessment methods will be applied: the theoretical study’s results are achieving through informational study’s methods: explanation, demonstration (especially important the lecturer’s work, knowledge are based on scientific research and insights); the practical study’s results are achieving through methods as discussions, work in groups, independent work, case analysis, issue teaching, experiment, presentation preparation and delivering, real problems solving during students projects (learning through laboratory practice, working place are based on student individual work, problems solving, tasks, work in groups); in order to achieve value related study results, such methods as using students’ self-examination and performance exercise are employed using student’s personal experience, etc.
In the Joint study programme “Marketing and Media Art” the student is active, solving and responsible study’s process participant – the programme studies are oriented to students.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
In order to check if the students have achieved expected learning outcomes of the Joint programme “Marketing and Media Art” and separate elements of the Joint study programme, these assessment methods will be applied: verbal assessment methods; quiz methods (a frontal verbal quiz, an individual verbal quiz); presentation methods (presentation (public speech, presentation)); methods of written assessment (a research paper, reviews, reference list); graphical and visual assessment methods (idea and concept maps; poster presentations and demonstration of completed work); methods of cumulative and integrated assessment (folder or portfolio methods, case analysis, projects).

Study subjects (modules), practical training:
The Joint study programme “Marketing and Media Art” consists of:
General college studies subjects that comprise 15 credits, 3 of which are electives.
Study concentration subjects that comprise 156 credits, 3 of which are electives. 6 credits are dedicated for educational internship, 24 credits are dedicated for professional internship.
9 credits are given for the preparation of the final thesis.
Two internships are included in the Joint study programmer “Marketing and Media Art”: 6 credit educational internship that students complete in the fourth semester of the studies; 24 credit final professional internship that students complete in the sixth study semester.
