General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
The aim of the programme is to prepare Masters of educology who are able to analyze and systematize the latest knowledge in the field of education, including didactics, and professional field, in the chosen specialization to design educational curriculum professionally and creatively via the interaction of professional activities and educational technology innovations, to initiate changes in educational activities based on complex research of the educational problem; to think strategically and act responsibly in multiple educational environments in local and global contexts.
Learning outcomes:
Knowledge and its application
Students are able to explain, analyse and critically evaluate the current educational framework, educational policies, attitudes and principles, justify changes in education and training.
Students know and are able to integrate the interdisciplinary knowledge, to relate it to modern didactic systems and apply it to promote learners' activities, autonomy in technology-based / interdisciplinary educational process.
Research skills
Students are able to identify the scientific issues of education, to formulate relevant research topics in education; to characterize and analyse the research objects with respect to specificity of educational reality and development of science; to plan and conduct empirical research; to analyse, evaluate and interpret the obtained results.
Special abilities
Students are able to independently organize, design, evaluate and improve the education curriculum and teaching strategies
Students are able to identify and assist in management of learning problems faced by learners of different age groups. Students are able to apply psychosocial-educational interventions.
Social abilities
Students are able to mobilize and lead work groups, teams of teachers dealing with the development of the educational institution, cultural change and/or other educational issues.

Students are able to think systematically, strategically and creatively; to follow and apply the attitudes and principles of inclusion in education, respect for human rights in making educational and/or making teaching decisions, take responsibility for the results of personal work.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Study material is taught by interpreting, illustrating with examples, filmed material. Master students are involved in discussions, analysis of practical educational situations and problem-solving. Their subject skills are developed on the basis of problem-based teaching, case analysis, modeling and simulation, and reflection. Project preparation, computer statistical analysis and other methods are also used. Forms of independent work, such as studying research sources, planning research, conducting and describing it, are encouraged. During the studies, Master students are consulted by subject teachers and supervisors.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
A ten-point criterion scale and a cumulative evaluation scheme are used. During the semester, the cumulative student evaluation score consists of assessment for completed practical tasks, individual and / or group work / projects, research reports and their presentations, case studies, self and peer evaluation, etc.

Within the programme, the general subjects of the study field are intended to acquire the fundamental and applied knowledge necessary for the improvement and deepening of didactic and pedagogical competencies. Within the specializations, subject-matter competence as well as didactic competence of the study subject are developed.

Vocational training specialization develops vocational training methodologies and didactic knowledge in teaching engineering-technological and social (service) subjects, improves digital assessment skills, etc.
The specialization subjects of Multilingual education are focused on more in-depth studies of foreign language didactics and methodology, the policy of language teaching (learning) in multilingual contexts and the practical application of its principles.
The specialization of STEM education provides the basic concept of STEM education, the ability to apply the principles of this method in practice, to independently prepare and implement STEM programmes.
Distinctive features of a study programme:
The programme is planned for those who have completed the first cycle studies and acquired the qualification of a teacher (during consecutive, related or professional studies) and who wish to improve the acquired competencies. The programme is also designed for working teachers seeking to update and deepen subject, pedagogical and didactic competencies.

Access to professional activity:
Graduates of the Vocational training specialization will be able to work in vocational schools, training centres in the public and private sectors, in non-formal education.
Graduates of the Multilingual education specialization will be able perform as teachers or eudacation specialists in various types of general education schools, non-formal education, non-governmental organizations, and training centres.
Graduates of the STEM specialization will be able to work as subject teachers and education specialists in general education, vocational schools and other educational institutions.
Access to further study:
Maters of the programme will have the right to enter the third cycle studies - doctoral studies.
