General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
The objective of study programme is to prepare music educationalists of high qualification and competent for general and nonformal education institutions as well as researchers of educology which have an ability to research independently.
Learning outcomes:
• will know contemporary concepts and tendencies of education, educational and technological achievements, which are necessary for professional activity and researches;
• will have a good knowledge of profession, will perceive connections between theoretical and practical studies, will be able to apply this knowledge for his own as researcher development;
• will be able to integrate knowledge, record problems and to go by tasks, which coul be difficult, new and/or valid for limited informacion; will be able to work and improve independently while doing and writing educational research;
• will be able to work effectively in groups of various compositions and/or to lead for them as well as to assume responsibility for results of activity of his own and/or subordinate persons;
• will be able to update his knowledge, to form his critical thinking, to improve his professional preparation for futher and creative solutions of problems;
• will be able to realize and value the process of musical training depending on levels of system of education and training as well as on contexts of education politics;
• will be able to analyze and value critically various problems and situations of professional area in broad contexts of education system as well as in pursuance of researches or implementation of educational innovations;
• will be able to value critically, to create and/or improve programmes of education, sustaining the philosophy and methodology of innovative education and the possibilities of information technologies;
• sustaining results of independent researches, will be able to honour offers and prepare guideline in topic of demands of students;
• will be able to recruit and motivate interested sides/persons due to the analysis of demand and request of innovative processes of education;
• will be able to take properly methods and sources of research, to analyze and systematize information, to summarize and formulate conclusions, writing educational and/or cross-area research;
• sustaining results and conclusions of analyzed education researches as well as new strategies of education researches, will be able to make an independent research, to represent its results and conclusions in public, to prepare and publish scientific paper made by results of one‘s research.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Individual consultations with a head of research work, independent studies of scientific literature, writing final master research work, scientific discussion, reflection and studies of literature and other sources, review of video films, written quiz, fulfilment of creative tasks, discussions, independent work, theoretical lectures, analysis of research papers, practical work in group, written fulfilment of practical tasks, consultations, know-how learning, self-reflection, portfolio, arrangement of presentations, arrangement of plan of lesson, individual work and work in group during seminars and practice, arrangement and fulfilment of research of pedagogic activity, presentation of scientific paper (participating in conference of students), written arrangement of scientific publication, recension of scientific publication, seminars, making decisions, colloquiums, arrangement of paper work, analysis of theoretical amterial in virtual space, analysis of additional study sources in internet, discussions in virtual space, self-control questions with answers, self-control tests with answers.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Presentation of project (preface, part of theoretic section), presentation and defence of master research work, written quiz, arrangement and presentation of creative tasks, virtual discussions, written practical tasks, methods of presentation, presentation of scientific paper, presentation of scientifc publication, presentation of recension of scientific publication, presentation of paper work, auditorial tests, portfolio of learning achievements.

Distinctive features of a study programme:
Music Pedagogy study programme is based on studies of innovative strategies and methods of contemporary artistic education. These studies are combined with practical scholarly and exploratory activity.

Access to professional activity:
Graduates of Music Pedagogy study programme can work in institutions of high education – music schools, conservatoires, comprehensive schools, as well as in institutions of culture and education. Graduates have an ability to establish various institutions of musical training.
