General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
To prepare competent bachelors in economics who have a critical approach, are able to apply economic knowledge in an integrated manner, to perform economic studies, to recognise economic processes, to assess economic problems and present solutions based on the principles of social responsibility.
Learning outcomes:
Knowledge and Its Application:
A1 Knows classical and modern theories of economics and other sciences, analytical methods, possibilities of their application when evaluating economic problems from the interdisciplinary perspective.
A2 Knows and applies mathematical, economic statistics and econometric methods and information technologies when collecting qualitative and quantitative data, processing and presenting the interpretation of economic problems and their reasons.
A3 Defines and describes the principles of economic theories while analysing and evaluating economic processes from the perspective of integrated professional activity.
A4 Demonstrates a critical attitude when reasoning the possibilities and limitations of applying the theories and models of economics to solve multidisciplinary problems.
Research Skills:
B1 Able to make research applying the methods of economic analysis, systemic approach and constructive attitude.
B2 Able to gather and process qualitative and quantitative data, using techniques to manage, explain and interpret the collected data.
B3 Able to interpret the research results by modelling solutions of economic problems and providing a reasoned insights in the changing environment.

C1 Able to analyze and evaluate the performance and decision-making of economic entities in the national and international context by integrating fundamental economic concepts and multidisciplinary approach.

Activities of teaching and learning:
The material of study modules is presented during auditorium and individual work of the student. Auditorium work includes lectures, exercises, laboratory work, etc. Student's individual work includes his/her time for studying of theoretical material, preparing for lectures, laboratory works, exercises, doing homework and projects, preparing for midterm tests and exams during the semester. The study program ends with a Bachelor thesis. The main teaching methods are following: lectures (including visiting lecturers), exercises, laboratory/group work, case studies, role-play, problem based learning, visits to companies and others.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Student's knowledge, abilities and skills acquired by the module are evaluated and recorded in the databases twice during the semester: evaluation of individual works (positive or negative evaluation) and evaluation during the exam in time of session (10-point scale). The main form of evaluation is as follows: examination, interim test, essay, peer evaluation, the report, the task solution, individual work and others.

Program workload is 240 credits, the main study modules of the program are following: Mathematics 1, Information Technology, Microeconomics 1, Mathematics 2, Data analytics, Microeconomics 2, Management, Macroeconomics 1, Economic Statistics, Basics of Accounting, Business Law, Econometrics, Macroeconomics 2, Basics of Finance, History of Economic Thought, International Economics, International Integration Economics, Social Research Methods, Tax Systems, Public Economics, Applied Financial Analysis, Economic Simulation, optional study modules, study modules of BA+. The practice is performed during the studies (15 credits).

Distinctive features of a study programme:
A graduate has the modern knowledge of economy, is able to apply the economic models and analytical methods at the global, regional and country levels, to determine the market / industrial indicators, to collect and systemize qualitative and quantitative data needed for companies and countries in order to solve economic problems and forecast changes. The graduate is able to discuss constructively and responsibly work in traditional and virtual working groups, to communicate with professionals and society.
Students have a double diploma in Economics opportunity: Kaunas University of Technology and the University of Le Mans (France).

The graduate can work in the national and regional economic organizations as well as in the public sector institutions (tax authorities, municipalities, and embassies), banks, finance, industry, service and trade enterprises or establish and develop own business.
