Activities of teaching and learning:
In the study programme student-oriented training is carried out, in which the student's independent work is encouraged based on both individual tasks and group works. Training is carried out using active learning methods. Lectures, seminars, discussions, group work, practical exercises, project development etc.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
The study results are ranked in a ten-point evaluation system. The main methods of assessing the subject (module) are examination or defense of an independent work (project). Studies are completed by evaluating the independent work. When determining the final grade of the subject, the cumulative assessment system, which consists of the sum of the arithmetic mean of intermediate grades and the assessment of the exam multiplied by the weighted coefficients provided to them, is applied.
Framework:
Study subjects (modules), practical training:
The results of the study program are implemented through study subjects in the study process, which can be found on the website www.vgtu.lt. The program provides for two practices: geodesy and professional activities (15 cr.), Bachelor's final thesis (15 cr.). Two free choices (6 cr.). The duration of the professional practice is 12 weeks. During the practise engineering working skills are improved, students are acquainted with the future work environment, learn to carry out researches and apply the results in practise.
The main study field consists of 165 credits. The subjects studied are Transport and Communication System, Road and railway building materials, Design of Roads, Railways design, Urban Planning and Infrastructure, Structural Architecture and Structures, Renewable Energy Technologies, Transport Metal Structures, Urban management, street design, Road construction technology and organization, Railway construction and repair technology, Traffic simulation and management, Computer Aided Design of Roads etc.
Specialisations:
