General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
To prepare high erudition and intellect bachelors of civil engineering, who is able to design buildings and structures applying modern design principals and technologies; to organize and manage processes of design and construction of building structures.
Learning outcomes:

Fundamental knowledge about nature and its phenomenon for an integrated professional activities.
Knowledge of building materials and structures in civil engineering and innovative methods of its design and construction
Research skills
Ability to collect and analyze the data solving important scientific and professional problems in field of civil engineering, using the fundamental and applied science achievements and methods.
Holistic view while making professional decisions, balancing costs, benefits, security, quality, reliability and effect on the environment.
Engineering analysis
Ability to collect data for design of building structures, bridges and its structures, to analyze and evaluate the data, to select alternatives of project and potential methods of construction.
Abilities to select and analyze geotechnical information, based on of performed analysis to select the most expedient alternatives of geotechnical structures.
Engineering design
Ability to prepare a structural part of project of buildings or bridges and to manage the design.
Ability to prepare project of fundaments of buildings and other geotechnical structures and to manage the design.
Personal and social abilities
Ability of team working in groups consisting of specialist of different engineering fields and to present design solutions to various audiences.
Ability to plan their own professional qualification training, to be able to study engineering technical and scientific literature.

Ability to identify and evaluate new engineering problems, to plan engineering strategy and to apply numerical design and modern manufacturing technologies.
Ability to apply international, European and Lithuanian standards for design and construction of buildings, structures and foundation.

Cumulative assessment system: individual work tasks and tests, reports of laboratory works and practices, course and complex projects, defence of final thesis.
