Summary of the Profile

Objective(s) of a study programme:

The program of Finance Accounting of Public Sector is aimed to train qualified financiers who could organize individual the accounting of public sector, prepare financial budget, tax and statistical statements. These specialists would be able to calculate taxes, to analyze, control and plan material and human resources in public sector. The activities are followed by the Laws of The Lithuanian Republic, the standards of accounting and finance responsibility in public sector and business as such.
Learning outcomes:

The results of the Finance Accounting of Public Sector program: to form the policy of Finance Accounting of Public Sector, to plan and organize the work of accounting services, to prepare finance, tax and statistical statements, to control the policy of accounting regulations and implement the forms of controlling the economic processes, to perform a financial control, to analyse/mesure the finance data, results of performance, to prepare budgets and their coordination.
Activities of teaching and learning:

Lectures; seminars; discussions; group work; practical assignments; literature analysis, case study; project work, and etc.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:

Summative assessment is applied in college. The constituents of summative assessment are used to assess particular study results by the study subject programme. All subject or module studies end with an exam or student self-study project evaluation. The final grade is determined by the components of the summative assessment of the subject programme, i.e. attendance, participation; midterm, self-study work and examination results, expressed in percentage under the study subject programme.

There are 10 credits for optional subjects chosen by the students themselves. Students are free to choose any subjects from the study programmes provided at Kolping College or they may decide to take a course in another institution of higher education.
Distinctive features of a study programme:
Students are learning two foreign languages (English and German); they have opportunity to take the final practice in Kolping College partner organizations in Germany.
