Summary of the Profile

Objective of a study programme is to prepare highly qualified public law specialists, knowing national and international legal regulation peculiarities of public sector and human rights protection, able to explain the latest public law issues and trends, promptly and effectively deal with legal problems faced by human rights protection in public administration sphere (energy, business, electronic government, intellectual property, etc.), conduct research and provide logical, motivated, efficient solutions.
Learning outcomes:
1. Ability to prepare instrumentation of scientific research, to independently analyze, estimate and use the results of scientific research in professional activity, to formulate conclusions based on results of the research, oriented towards improvement of public legal regulation and protection of human rights.
2. Knowledge of, ability to analyze, synthesize and evaluate the peculiarities of national and international public legal regulation and human rights protection, the particularities of resolution of the disputes arising in various spheres, administered by the public administration bodies (energy, business, electronic government, intellectual property, etc.) and ability to offer suggestions oriented to the development of public administration institutions legislative activity.
3. Ability to consult and professionally represent in the matters rising in various spheres, administered by the public administration bodies (energy, business, electronic government, intellectual property, etc.).
5. Ability to apply knowledge of public legal regulation and protection of human rights dealing with the questions rising in various spheres, administered by the public administration bodies (energy, business, electronic government, intellectual property, etc.) and offer logical, motivated and effective solutions.
6. Skills of self-study, work organization and planning, that allow to purposefully and independently continue studies, to improve in professional activity and to adapt to the changing multicultural work environment.

Distinctive features of a study programme:
The study programme is the first joint programme in Lithuania in the field of administrative and human rights law carried out in two high schools – Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania) and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine). The study programme will be performed in English language and it will give individuals the opportunity to gain a Master of Laws degree in two high schools.
