Summary of the Profile

The masseur's modular vocational training program is designed to prepare a qualified masseur. The masseur must know the basics of document preparation, management and accounting the basics of medical statistics, health insurance and health law, ways of using information and communication technologies, harmful factors related to masseur activity. The program includes 4 compulsory modules: assessment of the client's physical and emotional condition, performance of classical and segmental massage, performance of therapeutic massage and performance of sport massage. Programmes of the modules provide theoretical and practical training. The following competencies are assessed during the evaluation of the competencies acquired by a person: to prepare the workplace and tools, to prepare the massage treatment action plan, to evaluate the indications and contraindications and to perform the selected massage treatment considering the client's health condition.
