General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
Musical Theatre professional bachelor degree program focuses on providing a professional actor for musical theatre, which are able to create and prepare the roles of musical theatre productions and to perform them in public. To participate in the creative activities of theatre companies and to develop individual artistic career.
Learning outcomes:
1. Knowledge and its application
Knowledge of professional activity is justified on perception of practical activity in which an individual operates and which could be applied by identifying and solving complex, concrete or abstract problems of activity in which an individual operates.
2. Competence to carry a research
Able to collect and analyze data necessary for solving problems regarding a concrete professional activity and implementation of innovations
3. Special competence
Able to plan, organize, implement and evaluate practical activities of the field related to a concrete professional activity by selecting technical, organizational and methodical measures.
4. Social competence
Able to communicate with the specialists and other persons and solve problems concerning professional activity. Responsible for personal quality of activity and of the subordinates by following the norms of professional ethics and social spirit
5. Personal competence
Able individually to study in a field of professional activity. Takes moral responsibility for personal activity and influence of its results on society, economy, cultural development, wealth and environment.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Are focused on development of general and special competences and creativity education: lectures, seminars, discussions, individual and group project works, practical seminars, case study, public presentations and defence, science papers preparation, information search and systematization and etc.
Methods of assessment of learning outcomes:
Evaluation of learning outcomes is performed applying the cumulative assessment during the entire semester and exam session. Learning outcomes are evaluated through the intermediate settlements

The graduates of Musical Theatre program will be able to: professionally sing and perform,dance and perform. Identify specifics of popular contemporary stage genres (jazz, pop music, contemporary dance), classical musical style. Prepare a roles for a musical theatres productions and create a solo numbers for a show programs, take part in music and dance programs. The graduates of Musical Theatre program will be able to create and develop an individual artistic concept within the context of a particular art, To respond promptly to changes in situation on stage and perform an effective management of the body and emotions. The graduates of Musical Theatre program will be able to collect, analyze and interpret the professional information for to be able independently plan and carry out professional activities. To present personal abilities creative ideas for professional career, to be able communicate with partners of creative time. The graduates of Musical Theatre program will be able to manage actor, vocal and choreographic expression tools that are necessary in interaction with other performers. to use the knowledge, practical skills and technical divices for artistic self-training arrangement.
