Summary of the Profile

Objective(s) of a study programme:
To educate competent bachelors of psychology with scientific background and need for professional improvement, having contemporary knowledge of psychological sciences, abilities to apply it in health care and welfare, and continue education in master level studies.
Learning outcomes:
1) ability to choose the field of studies and activity using the understanding of basic areas of psychology and its applications;
2) ability to assess the relevance of biological factors in explanation of psychological problems and to refer to such factors in professional activities including psychological strategies;
3) ability to apply the theories of psychology at personal, group, and society levels in professional activities;
4) ability to choose proper psychodiagnostic methods depending on psychological problem and context;
5) ability to evaluate the type of personal psychological problem and to choose proper means of psychological action as well as estimate its outcomes;
6) ability to prepare and implement educational and preventive measures and programmes of psychology;
7) ability to follow the ethical principles in psychology;
8) ability to apply professional competences with respect to needs, expectations and specifics of health care system.
