Distinctive features of a study programme:

This is a unique first-cycle study programme available in Lithuania that educates professional dance art specialists. From the third year, it is possible to choose alternative (entertainment, folk, performative) dance study subjects.

During the study process, the integrated teaching model is applied. In the programme, in addition to the subjects of the main (dance) field of study, subjects of other fields – music, theatre, and pedagogy – are studied.

The students are taught by the most prominent Lithuanian dance artists and scientists, and there is constant cooperation with well-known professional dance art specialists from abroad.

The programme has integrated minor field studies in Arts Pedagogy.

Access to professional activity:

Graduates are able to work as performers or artistic directors of dance groups in various cultural institutions and amateur and professional dance groups and initiate private and project activities of dance education and the creation of new groups.

Upon completion of the integrated minor field studies in Arts Pedagogy and having obtained a teacher’s qualification, graduates can work as teachers in various formal and informal and/or specialised educational institutions.

Access to further study:

Graduates have the right to enrol in the second-cycle programmes of dance and other study fields, if this is foreseen in the admission requirements of the chosen study programme.
