A person who has acquired this qualification: follows the requirements of health and safety at work, reads working drawings, selects necessary materials, working tools, and equipment and uses them, selects the correct type of furnace and its location in the premises; prepares the furnace and installs scaffolding, calculates the scope of performed works and material expenditure, prepares foundations for furnaces, fireplaces and chimneys, bricks various types of furnaces, fireplaces, chimneys, and flues, makes surface finish of furnaces and fireplaces, selects types of ironware, and options for their application, performs brickwork and furnace and fireplace repair works.
