General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
to train creative and critical thinkers in the field of communication who are able to create, manage and evaluate written communication content of different genres and styles, apply innovative technologies and creative writing methods, analyse the needs of the target audience, and execute communication projects in accordance with the ethical and social responsibility principles.
Learning outcomes:
1.Understands the essence and importance of communication, the role of communicative texts, communicative actors and technologies in a dynamic ecosystem of knowledge and technological interaction.
2.Is able to apply knowledge of marketing, public relations, psychology and other social sciences, creative methods, and professional ethics in professional activities.
3.Understands the importance of the use of scientific literature and empirically based data in professional activities.
4.Is able to select and apply quantitative and qualitative research methods in practice in order to create targeted, impactful communication content.
5.Be able to generate ideas and concepts for communication content individually and as part of a team, taking into account audience expectations, contemporary communication trends and creative solutions that promote engagement and create meaningful impact.
6.When producing texts in different styles and genres, be able to manage creative writing techniques, creative expression tools, semiotic principles and scriptwriting methods.
7.Able to produce texts for advertising and public relations, integrating them with visual elements and adapting them to specific communication channels and audience needs.
8. be able to design and manage communication and communication projects for organisations and individuals, adapting creatively to the needs of the target audience, applying entrepreneurial models and innovative technological tools.
9.Able to responsibly apply the principles of personal data protection, copyright protection, ethical standards and transparency and credibility of communication in order to create sustainable communication and effectively manage crisis situations.
10.Able to take social responsibility for professional decisions and the impact on the well-being of the global society and the environment by integrating into the communication space.
11.Able to work creatively in a team or as part of a team leader, communicate in Lithuanian and foreign languages, and cooperate with business partners, clients, consumers and other stakeholders to ensure the achievement of communication objectives.
12.Understands the importance of lifelong self-directed learning and is able to assess, plan and develop their professional qualifications in a constantly changing environment.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Innovative teaching and learning methods are applied, it is aimed at active student participation in the study process: a student-oriented teaching is based on practical tasks, emphasizing the importance of independent work of a student and abilities to creatively solve different situations (problem-based teaching, analysis of practical situations and case studies, creative workshops, mind and concept maps/concept maps, expert method, project methodand etc.). Activating and heuristic study methods are coordinated with traditional methods of developing knowledge and abilities: lectures, seminars, discussions and consultations.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Accumulative assessment and a ten-point assessment system are applied. Applying accumulative assessment, learning outcomes are assessed during interim tests. Course unit programmes foresee structural elements of assessment, their weight in the final assessment, content of particular assessment tasks, criteria and requirements. At the end of the studies of every course unit students take an examination or get an evaluation of independent work. The final grade consists of the component parts of accumulative assessment foreseen in the programme of a course unit (e.g. interim tests, independent works, examination), percentages being determined in the programme of a course unit.

The following subjects are studied: Professional Foreign Language; Communication Theory; Psychology and Methods of Creativity; Writing Style and Techniques; Story Structure and Narrative; Principles of Economics and Business; Organisational Communication; Marketing and Advertising; Professional Ethics and Socially Responsible Communication; Theoretical Research Methodology; Semiotics and Textual Analysis; Experimental Creativity Practical Training/Mental Writing Practical Training; Crisis Communication; Empirical Research Methodology; Screenwriting; Public Relations; Visual Communication; Promotional Writing; Writing for Public Relations; Creating Characters and Worlds/Personal Brand Management; Intellectual Property Law and Data Protection; Creative Communication Project Management/Creative Communication Project Management (Eng)
The following alternative subjects must be taken as a compulsory option for a group of 15 credits: Experimental Creativity Practicum/Artistic Writing Practicum; Creating Characters and Worlds/Personal Brand Management; Managing a Creative Communication Project/Managing a Creative Communication Project (Eng.).
16 credits for general college subjects. 12 credits are free electives.
The students will undertake an apprenticeship and a final apprenticeship in a real-life professional environment. The total duration of the internships is 33 credits. The final thesis is 9 credits.

Free electives are offered for interdisciplinary studies or for the development of general competences and are chosen from a list of electives offered by the College. The planned length of the elective subjects is 12 credits

After graduating in Creative Writing and Communication, a student could work in a variety of creative and communication fields as a creative writer or copywriter, a communication specialist or communication manager, a scriptwriter for film, television or games, a public relations specialist, a social media manager, a content development and management specialist, a corporate communication or creative project manager.
Access to further study:
Graduates will be able to go on to study for a bachelor's degree at university. After completing additional studies or fulfilling other requirements set by the higher education institution, they will be eligible to enrol in a postgraduate master's programme.
