General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
The aim of the Finance study programme is to train professional bachelors in Business Management
who are able to apply knowledge in the field of Finance comprehensively, to organise and analyse financial processes of the public sector and business entities, to make proposals for sustainable financial decision-making, taking into account changes in the environment, to apply appropriate
analytical and forecasting tools, and to be able to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment.

Learning outcomes:
• Knowledge of the general principles of economics, management, finance and law, which can be applied in the implementation of the objectives of the public sector and business entities.
• Knowledge of the structure of the financial system, the basic principles of financial management theories, the regulations governing financial reporting in the public and private sectors, accounting and financial control methods and the ability to apply them in practice in the field of finance.
• Ability to collect and organise financial information, draw conclusions from financial analysis and make suggestions for effective financial decisions.
• Ability to carry out empirical research using modern information and computer technologies, and apply the results to solve problems in the field of finance.
• Ability to prepare financial, statistical and tax reports and to organise their data using financial information processing software.
• Ability to analyse and evaluate the financial health of public and private sector entities, their partnerships and operating results, and present findings to internal and external users in the light of social responsibility principles.
• Ability to prepare and implement financial plans, manage and control cash flows and ensure fair control over the execution of financial decisions.
• Ability to formulate and make proposals on crowdfunding or other innovative forms of finance, sustainable investment and risk management
• Ability to formulate and make proposals to promote sustainable business development in the light of long-term demographic changes and the challenges of digitalisation.
• Ability to collect, organise, analyse and summarise financial data using data analysis tools.
• Ability to prepare and analyse budgets, justifying the effectiveness of the use of resources and assessing risks.
• Able to make financial management decisions, making proposals on financing, investment and other issues
• Ability to plan and analyse financial resources of the state and municipalities, justifying the effectiveness of their use.
• Ability to prepare and analyse financial statements of a public sector entity and draft estimates for budget programmes.
• Ability to organise, evaluate and present financial information to internal and external users.
• Ability to plan public procurement, analyse public procurement documents, and prepare procurement documents for specific public contracts.
• Ability to process information related to public procurement and administer public procurement procedures using public procurement information systems.
• Ability to prepare reports on public procurement procedures, completed contracts/lowvalue procurements.
• Ability to interact ethically and responsibly with professionals, clients and business partners in dealing with professional challenges.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to independently develop professional competence, skills, time management and take moral and social responsibility for the results of own work
• Ability to responsibly carry out project- creativity and self-expression-based activities in a dynamic environment.
