General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
The aim of the Cultural Performance Management study programme is to train cultural performance managers who are able to work independently or as part of a team in organisations providing a wide range of cultural services or products.
Learning outcomes:
1. Knowledge and its application.
• coordinate the internal and external communication of the organization in order to achieve the goals of the organization
• apply modern information processing tools and techniques
• apply essential principles of state and international culture policy and economics in professional activities.
2. Ability to perform research
• to organize empirical studies of cultural field, analyzing and evaluating the cultural peculiarities of Lithuania and other countries and the business environment.
3. Special skills
• to develop and implement cultural projects, organize cultural activities of artists and performers
• to develop and implement cultural activities of local communities, organized leisure time and the inclusion of these communities in cultural life
• to develop and develop sustainable cultural business systems.
4. Social skills
• follow the ideas of sustainable development, take into account cultural, social and other contexts
• apply various negotiation strategies, plan and organize personal and / or project team activities, effectively deal with conflicts.
5. Personal skills
• to plan, analyze and critically evaluate the chosen strategies of activity, to set goals, formulate tasks and to provide the most effective ways and means for their implementation
• make ethical decisions, apply them and develop new ideas in your professional field.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Are focused on development of general and special competences and creativity education: lectures, seminars, discussions, individual and group project works, practical seminars, case study, public presentations and defence, concept map, science papers preparation, information search and systematization and etc.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Evaluation of learning outcomes is performed applying the cumulative assessment during the entire semester and exam session. Learning outcomes are evaluated through the intermediate settlements: test, project, project public presentation and defence, individual creative tasks, seminars, term papers, practice reports, seminars, exams and final thesis.

Creative Communication in a Foreign Language, Media Technology, Art of Speaking, Introduction to Studies, Organisational Psychology.
II. Subjects in the field of study
(93 credits):
Management, Entrepreneurship Education, History of Audiovisual and Visual Arts, Cultural Tourism Management, History of Theatre and Music, Art Market, Sustainable Management, Cultural Policy, Theatre and Entertainment Industries, Music Industry, Cultural Project Management, Social Science Research Methodology, Professional Ethics, Human Resource Management, Cultural Economics and Corporate Finance, Intellectual Property Law, Marketing, Film and TV Industry, Strategic Management, Intercultural Business Communication, Art of Negotiation.
III. Internships (30 credits):
Entrepreneurship practice, Management practice, Project practice, Final practice.
IV. Final Thesis (12 credits).
Specialisations:
Performing Arts Management (15 credits): Music Event Management, Theatre Event Management, Performing Arts Activity Organisation.
Event Management: Cultural and Entertainment Event Management; Stagecraft; Event Directing and Scriptwriting.
Optional courses:
Free electives (9 credits). The student can choose from the list of free electives offered by Vilniaus kolegija / Higher Education Institution.
Distinctive features of a study programme:
The programme focuses on the socially responsible and ethical management of cultural activities and is based on problem-solving and team project work. Students can study and practice abroad through various funding sources, bilateral agreements and international intensive training programmes.

Access to professional activity:
This qualification enables you to work as a cultural manager, able to create and develop cultural organisations where cultural policy decisions are made.
Graduates can work in cultural organisations such as agencies, theatres, television, leisure centres, concert organisations, sound recording studios, cultural centres, art galleries and various cultural and artistic associations.

Can continue studies at Lithuanian and foreign universities in the social sciences, business and administrative management and arts management, study programmes
