Objective(s) of a Study Programme: To prepare highly qualified electronics engineering specialists who are competitive in the labour market of the Lithuania and the European Union, capable of working independently, solving professional problems, and applying the latest technological knowledge in the field of electronics engineering.
Learning Outcomes:
Knowledge and its Application:
Students will have a general knowledge of Mathematics, physical and/or technological sciences that enables them to understand and describe the processes involved in their chosen field of study in engineering sciences. Students will understand the key concepts and content of the chosen field of study in engineering sciences. Students will gain fundamental and up-to-date knowledge of their chosen field of study in engineering sciences that can be applied in practice. Students will learn about the principles of digital manufacturing, cloud manufacturing processes, the Internet of Things, business management systems and augmented reality.
Competences to Carry out Research:
Students will be able to find, organise and interpret information relevant to their chosen field of study in engineering sciences. Students will be able to carry out experiments to solve engineering problems, analyse the results obtained and draw conclusions. Students will be proficient in the use of equipment used in their chosen field of study in engineering sciences. Students will be able to solve practical problems in their chosen field of study in engineering sciences. Students will be able to participate in working groups to implement projects in their chosen field of study in engineering sciences, taking into account the principles of the circular economy, artificial intelligence, digitalisation of industry, ethical, environmental, commercial, organisational, occupational health and safety considerations and the development of the sustainability concept. Students will be able to work collaboratively with professionals in other professional activities.
Special Skills:
Students will be able to analyse the processes and products of their chosen field of study in engineering sciences, and to understand and interpret the results obtained. Students will be able to solve engineering problems by selecting appropriate methods, experimental and production equipment. Students will understand design methodologies, and will be able to use specialised software for process analysis and data management, designing processes and products in the chosen field of engineering sciences in accordance with specified technical, economic and environmental requirements.
Personal Skills:
Students will be able to solve engineering problems individually and in a team. Students will be able to communicate with the engineering community and the
general public in correct Lithuanian and at least one foreign language. Students will understand the impact of engineering decisions on society and the environment, observe professional ethics and standards of engineering practice, and understand responsibility for the results of engineering activities. At the level of engineering operations, students will have a basic understanding of the key aspects of project execution and management. Students will understand the importance of individual lifelong learning and will prepare for it.
Teaching and Learning Activities:
Lectures, consultations, practical tasks and course papers, individual work, practices of professional activities. Students accomplish practical tasks individually or in groups.
Methods of Assessment of Learning Achievements:
The student‘s knowledge, skills and abilities acquired while studying subjects of a study programme are assessed after completing of individual assignments performed during the semester and exam session. The achieved learning outcomes after completion of subject/module studies are assessed attributing them to the levels of achievement: excellent, typical and threshold.

Studies are completed by defending the Final work individually prepared by a student.
Distinctive Features of a Study Programme:
The quality of studies of this study programme is assured by new laboratories, equipped with modern facilities and cooperation of the college with Lithuanian and foreign business enterprises and educational institutions. Students have possibility to obtain the latest theoretical knowledge, abilities and practical skills in the supervision area of transport electricity and electronics in cooperation with lecturers – practitioners, researchers. Students are taught to diagnose faults of automobile electrical and electronic systems, to find out their reasons, to eliminate problems, to analyse and apply the alternative energy accumulation sources, technologies, characteristics and perform necessary technical and economical calculations, to perform installation, diagnosis and tuning of electronic systems. During studies students prepare real works of experimental development, take part in scientific-practical conferences and international projects. Students participate in the international exchange programme “Erasmus+”: go to study or for professional activities internships to the other countries of European Union.
Access to Professional Activity or Further Studies:
The graduate of the study program of Automobile Electronics can work in transportation field, in LR and other countries maintenance and repair enterprises, which provide electronic and electricity diagnostic services, trading of transport means and their components organizations, in the enterprises engaged in selling transport means equipment and in maintenance companies as the automotive diagnostic specialists, designers, engineers, company heads or division directors. Graduate can continue his/her studies having chosen university study programmes in the field of Electronics Engineering.
