General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
Prepare highly qualified specialists in business economics who have the newest knowledge and practical skills in business economics, that are necessary to solve complex and analytical problems of business organizations, and can apply the economic knowledge and competencies to create the business insights and manage their consequences in the national and global environment.

A1 Has economic knowledge that makes foundation and provides possibility to create originally and/or apply original ideas in the field of scientific economic research

Activities of teaching and learning:
The material of study modules is presented during auditorium and individual work of the student.Auditorium work includes lectures, exercises, laboratory work, etc. Student's individual work includes his/her time for studying of theoretical material, preparing for lectures, laboratory works, exercises, doing homework and projects, preparing for midterm tests and exams during the semester. The study program ends with a Master thesis. The main teaching methods are following: lectures, workshops, discussions, case studies, group work, reflection activities, visits to companies, problem solving sessions, work with simulation models, etc.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Student's knowledge, abilities and skills acquired by the module are evaluated and recorded in the databases twice during the semester: evaluation of individual works (positive or negative evaluation) and evaluation during the exam in time of session (10-point scale). The main methods of assessment of learning achievements are following: exam, test, essay, colleaques‘ evaluation, report, individual / group work, task of problem solutions, blog, etc.
Framework:
Study subjects (modules), practical training:
Programme workload is 90 credits, the main study modules of the program are following: Forecasting of Business Environment in Global Economy, Development Economics, Sustainable Development Economics, Strategic Management Methodology, Economic Valuation of Innovations, International Economics and Business, Value Based Management and three alternative blocks of electives. The program does not include practice.

Distinctive features of a study programme:
A graduate possesses comprehensive knowledge of the latest business economics and business practice, necessary for the formation of the competence adequate to a new situation, ability of comprehensive and analytical problem–solving in business organizations, ability to apply strategic thinking to see business opportunities and implications of national and global environment, to solve a variety of current and strategic business organization problems. The graduate is able to research, organize and manage complex business processes, to assess a number of interacting and changing factors that affect operational effectiveness of the operational performance standards, to adopt innovative solutions based on industry analysis and the research results, evaluating alternative solutions and options for its social and ethical performance consequences.

The graduate can do an analytical, consultative economic job in national and international organizations and are able to create and develop private business.
