General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
The aim of the MBA programme is to prepare masters of business administration who are able to creatively apply the latest knowledge of management science and business management, know how to create and manage modern business organizations, systematically analyse and solve practical business issues by using the latest technology-based business and environmental research methods, make innovative management decisions and identify their potential impact on the environment and be prepared for self-improvement in lifelong learning.
Learning outcomes:
Knowledge and their application:
Students will have knowledge of modern management theories and methods, organizational behaviour, leadership, change and strategic business analysis, which will be able to apply in assessing business management processes, solving human resource management, innovation and technological entrepreneurship, business finance, business economic decisions engineering management problems and objectives in a changing business environment.
Research skills:
Students will be able to analyse, systematize and evaluate the information required for business management decision-making from various data sources, will be able to critically evaluate business management development ideas, formulate arguments and assumptions for business management solution alternatives, applying quantitative and qualitative, technology-based methods, to conduct the researches of selected business problems case studies and interpret the results from the interdisciplinary perspective.

Special skills:
Students will be able to apply a systematic approach to analysing, evaluating and modelling human resource management strategies, solve non-routine human resource management objectives in the context of uncertainty, integrate subject knowledge in evaluating and developing new measures needed for effective human resource management decision-making and research.

Students will be able to systematically analyse and evaluate business innovation processes, using the latest technologies to model innovation processes, create technological start-ups, organize and manage technology transfer processes, apply subject knowledge under uncertainty in forming strategic decisions needed to create, disseminate and apply innovations in organizations.

Students will be able to systematically analyse and evaluate business financial statements, calculate absolute and relative indicators and interpret their results, critically evaluate and forecast the benefits of business investments, model business continuity scenarios, applying the latest technologies, assessing business financial and operational risks and their management means, accept sound financial management decisions.

Students will be able to solve the objectives of sustainable business development in the modern economy, applying decision economic forecasting, computer simulation models to evaluate business alternatives; to analyse the economic indicators of the industry, enterprise or their group, applying the knowledge based on the macroeconomic and microeconomic behaviour of business entities, economic fluctuations and business cyclicality; to design economic research; to apply statistical and mathematical research methods for the economic justification of a business idea.

Social skills:
Students will be able to communicate fluently in writing and orally with business representatives and other stakeholders, discuss relevant issues of business development and management practices, including presentation of ideas, preparation of business reports, consulting and experts’ evaluation; will be able to plan, organize and carry out work individually and in groups, evaluate the effectiveness of group work, analyse the principles of group formation, delegation and coordination of tasks, will be guided by professional ethics and citizenship.

Personal skills:
Students will be able independently make management decisions under conditions of complexity and uncertainty, initiate and manage business activities, choose the direction of development and constantly develop independently; will be able to demonstrate critical, systematic and logical thinking skills in making management decisions based on the assessment of opportunities and consequences, will understand the moral and social responsibility for their activities and its ethical consequences; will be able to ensure the confidentiality of the information.

Activities of teaching and learning:
The following forms of teaching and learning are applied: discussions, case studies, problem solving tree, systematization, individual and group decision making methods, simulation, mixed method, mapping of ideas (thoughts), analysis of a scientific article, problem solving, problem-based tasks, report preparation, etc.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
The following methods of assessment of learning achievements are applied: oral examination methods (oral presentations, individual oral examination, oral presentation of group report, presentation of homework content, defence of practice report), written examination methods (open and multiple-choice questions, tasks), practical examination methods (mid-term exam, exams, reports).
Framework:
Study subjects (modules), practical training:
The master study programme consists of: compulsory studies’ part and alternative studies’ part. Compulsory subjects consist of the study field’s subjects that are necessary for practical activities after graduation. The alternative studies’ part consists of 4 study subjects, the total volume of which is 36 credits. The alternative part of the studies is based on the study modules that provide deeper knowledge and develop special skills focused on further professional or research activities. The scope of each of the elective modules is 18 credits. The related internship subject consists of 6 credits. This is the final subject of the MBA programme, which let to integrate and apply theoretical knowledge and skills acquired during the compulsory part and elective module of the programme. The students will conduct an internship in Lithuanian and foreign organizations, during which real business problems will be solved.

Optional courses:
The students can select from the alternative modules in the second semester. The four alternative optional modules provide the student with opportunities to develop special skills and increase the competence in the relevant field according to the needs, interests or work specifics, in the following directions: human resource management; technological entrepreneurship and innovation; business finance for executives; business economic decision engineering. Depending on the selected module, the studies are completed with a relevant subject of internship: Human Resource Management Strategy; Creation and reengineering of business processes; Financial analysis and forecasting; Projecting of economic decision.
Distinctive features of a study programme:
Aiming to present the latest developments of science, technology and business practice, the representatives of business organizations with work experience and professors from various foreign countries are invited to teach and share experiences in this study programme. The MBA programme is unique in its structure and content and is focused on the latest requirements for activities and development of business organizations. This study programme is developed to prepare executives and senior managers, who have knowledge of strategic business analysis and transformational leadership skills required to make decisions related to assessment of business management processes, human resource management strategies, development of new technological products and services, finance and investment, and business economic decision engineering.

Graduates can work as executives and senior managers in the international and national organizations. Graduates are able to conduct scientific and applied research independently, formulate solutions to problems, and make valid business decisions in the fields of human resource management, technological entrepreneurship and innovation, business finance, business economic decision engineering and have access to the postgraduate (Doctoral) studies.
Graduates can work in various profile international and national companies, foreign capital companies, and other institutions.
