General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
To prepare highly qualified master of business, able to apply complexly the knowledge of economics and management to form, assess and make effective decisions on business management, based on scientific argumentation in the conditions of uncertainty, knowledgeable modern business activities design, organization, coordination and implementation standards; to conduct the adequate assessment of the organization's status and opportunities for development by modelling various business management scenarios and developing various strategies for the expansion of organization's activities based on systematic and critical thinking, in view of economic and social efficiency, innovations and technological development areas, and to be prepared to independently pursue lifelong learning.
Learning outcomes:
Knowledge
- The knowledge of business establishment and further development, organization and management technologies, methods, principles of strategy formation and assessment methods for alternatives, related scientific research methodologies and methods in the areas of economics and management. Will gain the knowledge necessary for scientific research in solving problems and tasks of organizations in management, information activities, marketing, social business management, international business and business finance management in a dynamic environment.
Electronic Media Management
- The knowledge of the latest tendencies, topical issues and results of electronic media management scientific research, and will be able to apply this knowledge in solving information business management problems and tasks and carrying out scientific research.
Marketing Management
- The knowledge of the latest results of fundamental and applied sciences research in management, economics and marketing, and will be able to apply this knowledge in solving marketing management tasks and problems, working independently in intellectual and marketing activities in various business and public sectors, carrying out research and managing company marketing activities.
Organization Management
- The knowledge based on the results and actualities of scientific researches of organisations activity management, applied solving tasks of critical situations identification and their solution, as well as problems of organisational activity and negotiating potential formation pursuing scientific researches.
Social Business Management
- The knowledge based on the results of the latest social economics and management scientific researches, applied solving the problems of social business management and development, pursuing scientific researches.
International Business
- The knowledge of the latest results of fundamental and applied sciences research in economics and international management, and will be able to apply this knowledge to both scientific and independent practical work of the manager in international organizations or in organizations developing international business relations.
Corporate Financial Management
- The knowledge of business finance management based on the results of fundamental and applied scientific researches, applied them searching for the purposive finance management solutions, organising business development sponsorship and investment strategies, solving development and projection management problems of business subjects.
Research skills
- The ability to individually carry out scientific research and make decisions in business management and development and scientifically justify them, taking into account the uncertainty of business development, thus turning business development into a reliable guarantor of Lithuanian technological development as well as ecological and social harmony.
- Ability to analyze, synthesize and evaluate research data for the existing and projected business value creation and management, integrating international business, social business management, information activities, marketing, business financial management knowledge in difficult situations management, assessing the alternative options to solve global business and the possible impact on the environment.
Special skills
- The ability to apply the knowledge of organizations, innovations, information technologies, risk management, based on quantitative and expertise assessment methods, necessary in order to ensure the implementation of global business activity and the development and implementation of innovation, and for the preparation of methodologies needed for the implementation of scientific research.
Electronic Media Management
- Abilities to adapt the knowledge of specialisation's subjects (e-media management, digital solutions in global communication, e-media in knowledge management) pursuing scientific researches in problemacy of electronic media management problems, preparing new methodical, information and managerial means needed to ensure informational business activity pursuance.

- Abilities to adapt theoretical and practical knowledge of marketing activity management, use it to create, spread and apply innovative marketing means and pursue the marketing research and experimental development works in various markets and regions, business and public sectors, preparing new methodical, informational and managerial means needed to ensure marketing activity pursuance.

- Abilities to adapt knowledge needed for anti-crisis and changes management in organisations development of negotiating potential, pursuing scientific researches, preparing new methodical and managerial means needed to ensure organisational activity pursuance.

- Abilities to adapt knowledge to scientific researches of social economy and sustainable business development in social business problemacy, to prepare new managerial means needed to ensure social business activity pursuance and sustainable development.

- Abilities to adapt theoretical and practical knowledge of international business management, to use it forming innovative models of business development competitive ability increase in international markets, as well as to conducer and organise activity for business internationalisation, to implement proper decisions needed for international business development.
Corporate Financial Management
- Abilities to adapt the knowledge of business finance and management of investment projects and use it to pursue scientific researches and studies in the field of business finance management, to prepare methodology and conception for financial decisions making, seeking to assure business value creation under risk and uncertainty conditions.

- The ability to convey scientifically justified knowledge to business specialists; in accordance with the moral and ethical principles, is able to evaluate and convey research results, based on complex and critical thinking, to perform assessment of quality of business activities and convey the systematic assessment results based on analytical, systematic and critical thinking, the ability to clearly formulate and submit socially responsible proposals.
Personal skills
- The ability to individually apply economics and management knowledge in the scientific research, in order to independently create and develop business activities, applying systemic thinking and creativity skills, perceiving moral responsibility for the impact of carried out activities and the impact of the results on public welfare and the environment, developing the scientific activities in the creative way, taking into account the aspects of its innovation and its impact on the environment, implementing the principles of lifelong learning.
Activities of teaching and learning:
The student-oriented activities are planned according to the target knowledge and results of study program. The individual work (study literature analysis, systematization, compilation of a bibliographic list, analysis of a scientific article, work with databases, calculation and analysis of data, individual projects) or group activities (method of cooperation, concept and mind maps, debates, preparation of stencil reports, writing and / or presentation of reviews, team projects) teaching and learning methods are selected respectively for emphasizing the work of student or the teacher (lectures, reflections, interactive lectures) and leadership (mixed learning, problem-based training, prototyping), practical skills formation (sightseeing, guest's lecture, simulation, case study, problem-solving).
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Control works (with closed and / or open-ended questions); tests, computerized assessment tasks, thought cards, essay, colloquium (open theoretical questions), presentation of the research report in writing (or oral), report, laboratory work, defense of the coursework, final thesis (project) and its defense, written work (analysis of scientific literature), presentation of a stand announcement, presentation of a group report, peer review, presentation of the project, analysis of scientific articles, presentation of research, exam (open and closed type tasks).
