Summary of the Profile

Objective(s) of a study programme:

To prepare highly qualified adaptable, flexible and versatile/universal specialists of management who possess a deep knowledge of modern management theories and methods, and are enable to assess and apply aquired knowledge to make enterprise-level decisions and implement strategies required in today‘s dynamic business and global economic enviroment. In addition, graduates will integrate knowledge and analytical skills for independent research, apply theoretical and research findings in ways that improve the community, organizations, and ministries across the country and around the world. The program is designed to meet 21st century needs - addressees the organizational and global issues and not specific business issues. Program focuses on global engagement; seek to develop cultural intelligence, and global mindset.
Students are equipped to deal with be diverse world, to address challenges, and to face dynamic, rapidly changing, globally connected business world.

Learning outcomes:

Students will:

1. Demonstrate understanding of differences in global settings and cross-cultural organizations and environments and be able to apply this understanding in various organizational settings.

2. Learn techniques and concepts in business creativity and innovation and are able to apply them in various Business situations.

3. Be able to demonstrate the ability to apply their business knowledge to problems and challenges within various business settings in a global environment.

4. Be able to formulate a complete and logical plan for data collection and analysis for the purpose of successful application to critical issues encountered by today‘s organizations.

5. Be able to effectively use research methods within their professional activities to tackle issues as they arise and produce quantitative analysis to be used in their decision making.

6. Navigate and analyze financial statements to better understand and position organizations, with focus on enhancing organizations‘ value.

7. Design and adapt organizational structures in function of the dynamic external and internal environments of the organization.

8. Be capable to identify employee development needs, create trainings, and implement mentoring and coaching practices.

9. Learn how to recognize, analyze, and decide on ethical issues in business.

10. Develop critical learning skills for important leadership concepts as integrity, character, and commitment.

11. Experience Business and cultural differences first-hand by visiting other global markets and identifying cultural differences in values, customs, attitudes and behaviors that impact the marketplace and organizational environments.

12. Comprehend current and historical perspectives related to the organization and business strategy foundational to top management development, including organizational analysis that leads to strategy formulation and implementation.

Activities of teaching and learning:

The interactive education style using the advanced technology is preferable. The courses will be offered through a cohort based on program approach and will include residency and online learning. A student-centered learning requires a lot of focus on the educational environment as well as the students’ self-expression. Besides the lectures, many case study analysis, reading and reflection tasks, individual written assignments, promoting dialogue and group work. Thesis writing and defense.

Methods of assessment of learning achievements:

Multiple assessment measures are used to ensure students’ movement toward the established course and program outcomes. Formative assessment and summative assessments are used for different types of program elements. Formative assessment tools are used to assess in-class assignments and independent tasks (e.g. presentations, response and research papers, written assignments, portfolio development, projects). Summative assessment tools are used for final course assessment (e.g. final exams, thesis defense). 10 point grade scale (10 – excellent, 4 – fail), a final grade is determined based on the percentage of total points earned during a course.

Framework:
Study subjects (modules), practical training:

The study program consists of 90 ECTS. 30 ECTS is for thesis writing and defense.
60 credits are dedicated to economics, management, and finance. Global study tour is scheduled through U.S. companies.
