Summary of the Profile
The aim of the program - to prepare skilled worker who is able to process wood manually and using electric tools; to process wood mechanically; to manufacture linear wood details; to manufacture and assemble composite wood products; to install wood products; to manufacture and assemble timber products from solid wood; to repair timber products; to mount finishing panels and linear elements; to perform finishing of timber products in compliance with safety, environmental and fire protection requirements.
The purpose of training program – to acquire competences to manufacture, assemble and install various wooden structures, timber products from solid wood, to perform finishing of timber products in compliance with safety, environmental and fire protection requirements. The program contains 11 compulsory modules: an introduction to the joiner profession; processing of wood manually and using electric tools; mechanical processing of wood; manufacturing linear wood details; manufacturing and assembling composite wood products; installing of wood products; manufacturing and assembling timber products from solid wood; repairing timber products; mounting finishing panels and linear elements; performing finishing of timber products; introduction to the labor market. The program also contains 3 optional modules. It is planned that in the modules will be theoretical and practical training. The following competencies will be assessed in the final assessment: to process wood manually and using electric tools; to process wood mechanically; to manufacture linear wood details; to manufacture and assemble composite wood products; to install wood products; to manufacture and assemble timber products from solid wood; to repair timber products; to mount finishing panels and linear elements; to perform finishing of timber products.
Acquisition of other competences will be assessed on the basis of knowledge and understanding, upon completion of the module program. Qualified joiner will be able to work in the construction and wood processing companies or individual activity.
