General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
To prepare innovation management professionals and entrepreneurs competitive in the international labour market who would be able to create, implement and manage innovation processes in organizations, and develop innovative business in Lithuania and worldwide.
Learning outcomes:
Knowledge and Its Application:
A1 Knows and understands the main global economic, social, legal, ethical, and technological tendencies, peculiarities of the modern society, dimensions of the sustainable development, and relations among them.
A2 Knows and understands the importance of management science, innovation and entrepreneurship as well as their role in the development of social systems - firms, organizations, regions, and countries.
A3 Knows and is able to use main theories and concepts of innovation management, organizational functioning and business development.
A4 Knows and is able to apply the main approaches of creativity development, knowledge, innovation and intellectual capital management, and assess their economic and social effect.
A5 Understands the concepts of business and social intelligence, strategic management, technology venturing, business valuation as well as investor relations management, and knows how to use them in practice.
A6 Knows and understands conceptual models of process and project management, networking, human resource and marketing management as well as the principles of management systems` development.
Research Skills:
B1 Is able to design and implement social research of innovation management phenomenon and processes, and to choose appropriate methods for this research.
B2 Is able to develop and apply the methods and instruments of the qualitative and quantitative social research.
B3 Is able to collect, analyse, and structure relevant information for the research in the areas of innovation management and entrepreneurship.
B4 Is able to determine and make systemic analysis of the processes and phenomena of innovation management and entrepreneurship.
Subject–Specific Skills:
C1 Is able to make an intelligent and entrepreneurial assessment of the economic, social, and other changes in order to identify new opportunities for innovation.

Activities of teaching and learning:
The main material of all study courses is absorbed during the lectures delivered and individual work. The classroom work includes lectures, seminars and case studies. Individual work includes absorption of theoretical material, preparation for the lectures, seminars and case studies, semester assignments, semester projects and final exams. The study program concludes with a preparation and defence of the final master degree thesis.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Knowledge, skills and abilities acquired by students studying the courses are assessed and included into the database twice: after the completion of the middle-term tasks (positive or negative assessment) and during the exam session (on the ten-grade scale.

Study subjects (modules), practical training:
Students take eleven compulsory study modules: Innovation Management; Knowledge Management; Business Model Innovation; Strategic Management; Intellectual Capital Management; Intellectual Property Management, Technology Venturing; Networks Creation and Management; Innovation Economic Assessment; Business Valuation and Investor Relations Management; Social Research Methodology. Three additional modules are selected by students from the list of alternatives. In the third semester students carry out explorative Research Project, while in the fourth semester they are working on their final Master Thesis Project.

In the first, second and third semester students choose one additional module from the proposed sets of alternatives, which include Creative Decision Making, Finance Management, Project Management, Business Process Management, Communication and Negotiation, Marketing Management, Contemporary Manufacturing Management Systems, Human Resource Management; Sustainable Development, Innovation Ecosystems Management and Politics, Digital Marketing, International Business.
Distinctive features of a study programme:
A graduate possess modern management knowledge, has acquired social research methodology, methods and models of innovation management and entrepreneurship, is able to design and solve definite innovation management and entrepreneurship issues, has acquired the integral competencies of organizational management, innovation management and entrepreneurship, is able to design and implement scientific research, manage innovation creation, implementation and development in organizations as well as groups of experts.

Access to professional activity:
A graduate is able to work in the positions related to innovation management, manage enterprise functional departments, creative teams, business units, work for the research and national innovation system institutions (innovation centres, business incubators, science and technology parts and etc.), public sector and other institutions contributing to the development of knowledge and innovation economy.

A graduate is able to continue his studies in doctoral programs.
