Summary of the Profile

The purpose of the Aircraft mechanic modular vocational training programme is to train a qualified aircraft engineer capable of performing scheduled aircraft pre-flight technical inspections, and to eliminate defects and violations that could have an impact on safe operation. This programme is intended for initial vocational education and training. The programme contains 12 compulsory modules: Fundamentals of Mathematics, Fundamentals of Physics, Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering, Digital Technology, Materials and Technical Equipment, Maintenance, Fundamentals of Aerodynamics, Human Factors Management, Aviation Legislation, Turbine Aircraft Aerodynamics, Structures and Systems, Gas turbine engine, Propeller. Also 2 optional module: Piston engine, Aircraft construction elements welding. Modular programs provide theoretical and practical training. Persons seeking to obtain a license, take an exam in the Civil Aviation Administration or by 2014. November 26 Commission Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014 on the continuing airworthiness of aircraft and aeronautical products, parts and appliances, and on the approval of organizations and personnel involved in these tasks (OJ L 362, 17.12.180, p.1), approved maintenance training organization. Persons who have obtained this qualification and license will be able to work in Lithuanian and foreign civil aviation companies, the military air force and internal affairs system, airline companies as continuing airworthiness maintenance technicians, as well as in state security agencies.
