Summary of the Profile
The aim of the programme - to prepare a skilled worker who is able to assist the nurse with providing qualified care services. Students are able to acquire professional competences in meeting hygienic needs of patient, caring the patients and their families, managing patient’s discharge and secretion and performing the technical work. The persons who acquire nurse assistant’s qualification will be able to work in public and private medical institutions, ambulance stations and their sections, patients’ reception desks, police stations, health care institutions in imprisonment places, the army, sections of Fire and Rescue Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, vessels, sports clubs, civil aviation and Border Guard Service institutions. After completion of this programme and acquisition of nurse assistant’s qualification, it is possible to continue training in the higher education institutions according to the programs in the field of Nursing studies. This programme is intended for continuing vocational education and training.
