Description

Object of activities: provision of non-invasive face and body skin care services.
Typical work tools: cosmetology equipment, tools and apparatus for procedures that do not compromise the integrity of the skin, cosmetics, asepsis and antiseptics, disinfection and sterilization products.
Typical working conditions: indoor work, individual and team work.
Additional information: the cosmetician follows the Lithuanian hygiene standard HN 117: 2007 “Health safety requirements for beauty services” approved by Order No. V-633 of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania of 1 August 2007 “On the Lithuanian hygiene standard HN 117: 2007“ Approval of Health safety of beauty services requirements”, the internal rules of the institution where he works, the requirements of occupational safety and health, ergonomics, public health safety, fire safety and environmental protection and other regulatory acts. The Cosmetics must be able to: assess the condition of human skin and its additives; distinguish between different types of skin (dry, oily, combination, etc.); to compile an individual action plan for the provision of facial and body care services and procedures, taking into account the age peculiarities of the service user, skin problems; to distinguish skin problems and derivatives characteristic of certain diseases; identify life-threatening conditions and respond appropriately; to select and use cosmetics; to select and perform facial and body skin care procedures with mechanical and physical effects; to select and perform hardware non-invasive facial and body skin care procedures; perform mechanical-hygienic facial cleansing (facial steaming, preparation for mechanical cleansing, skin scrubbing, removal of blackheads, comedones, skin moisturizing, nourishment); perform superficial chemical exfoliation of facial skin using products, products or substances with a pH higher than or equal to 3; apply cosmetic masks, creams, lotions and other cosmetic products on the skin; to evaluate and explain the impact of the beauty service (procedure), follow-up after the beauty service (procedure); do makeup; to perform hair removal (depilation) using cosmetics; perform nail care procedures (healthy nail manicure, pedicure, artificial nail extension); perform eyebrow and eyelash care procedures; body painting procedures. Qualified individuals will be able to provide cosmetic services individually or in beauty care companies.
Competences of qualification:
1. Assess facial skin condition and select facial skin care procedures.
2. Perform non-invasive facial skin care procedures.
3. Assess the condition of the body skin and select body skin care procedures.
4. Perform non-invasive body skin care procedures.
5. Assess the condition of the skin of the face and body before performing non-invasive procedures and select appropriate non-invasive procedures.
6. Perform non-invasive facial and body skin care procedures.
7. Assess the condition of the facial skin and choose make-up tools.
8. Apply makeup.
9. Assess the condition of the skin and nails of the hands and feet and select procedures for hand and foot care.
10. Perform non-invasive healthy skin care procedures for hands and feet
11. Perform a healthy nail manicure.
12. Perform a healthy nail pedicure.
13. Assess the condition of the skin of the face and body before depilation and choose cosmetics and hair removal procedure.
14. Perform hair removal in various parts of the body.
Competences of the specialization "Nail Art":
1. Evaluate the condition of nails and select tools for nail art.
2. Perform nail art.
Competences of the specialization “Artificial nail extension”:
1. Evaluate the condition of nails and select tools and technologies for artificial nails.
2. Extend artificial nails.
Competences of the specialization “Eyelash Extensions”:
1. Choose tools for eyelash extensions.
2. Extend the lashes.
Competences of the specialization “Body Painting”:
1. Choose tools for body painting.
2. Perform body painting.
