Description
Object of activities: the evaluation of technical condition of a car body, repairs and maintenance, the selection of consumable materials, car body fillers and paints, car preparation for painting, painting. Typical work tools: electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic tools and devices for car body maintenance and repairs, for selection of consumable materials, car body fillers and paints for car preparation before painting, safety measures, databases Typical working conditions: work is carried out at premises of vehicle maintenance and repairs, in certain cases – under field conditions. Additional information: car body repairer at work follows the requirements of Safety, Hygiene and Health Protection at Work, Fire safety and Environmental safety. Individual holding this qualification may have access to an employed activity in vehicle maintenance and repairs enterprises or carry out activities as self-employed individual. Competences of qualification:
1. Visually assess the technical condition of car bodies according to external features.
2. Assess the suitability of car bodies for further operation.
3. Disassemble the car body.
4. Eliminate deformations of car bodies.
5. Eliminate car body deformations without painting.
6. Weld car body parts.
7. Assemble car bodies.
8. Replace and repair car window glass.
9. Evaluate the quality of car body assembly work.
10. Choose car paint tools.
11. Prepare car bodies for painting.
12. Paint (coat) the car body and its parts.
13. Coat unpainted car body surfaces with anti-corrosion compound.
