Summary of the Profile
The aim of the modular programme for hotel steward is to prepare skilled worker who is able to work independently and guarantee economic needs of the hotel (or other accommodation service providing institution), coordinate cleaning and tidying up works, organize works of the subordinate employees. This programme is intended for continuing vocational education and training. The programme contains 3 compulsory modules: Guarantee of the economic needs of the accommodation providing institution, Coordination of cleaning and tidying up works, Organization of the employees works. It is planned that in the modules will be theoretical and practical training. The following competencies will be assessed in the final assessment: to order goods, to manage documents, to deliver works to the subordinate employees, take part looking for staff, hiring and firing employees, designing timetables. The assessment of other acquired competencies is performed on the basis of knowledge and understanding upon completion of the module. Persons who are acquired hotel steward qualification will be able to work in various accommodation companies. Upon completion of this programme, it is possible to continue training in the higher education institutions according to the programs in the field of business management.
