Summary of the Profile

The modular car mechanics vocational training program is intended for training qualified car mechanics that are able to adjust, install, maintain and repair engines and other mechanical equipment of cars, lorries, motorcycles and other vehicles. After finishing the program the car mechanics will be able to work in different car maintenance and repair stations, specialized car equipment repair and maintenance enterprises. Appropriate training and learning conditions will guarantee competences necessary for different car mechanics work activities. The car mechanic will get all skills to work with car engines, „ Otto“ engine feeding and ignition systems, diesel engine feeding systems, transmissions, chassis, brakes, adjustment, installing maintenance and repair of electricity equipment. The modular programmes include theoretical and practical training. The qualification of the car mechanic is given to the apprentice who passed all the training program and achieved the foreseen training goals. The assessment results of vocational training knowledge and competences show the professional readiness level. This programme is intended for initial vocational education and training.
