General Description:

Objective(s) of a study programme:

The programme aims to educate innovation communication specialists who apply physical and technological sciences competencies in communicating innovations to business and society.

Learning outcomes:

Graduates in Innovation and Technology Communication will be able to: - know the latest communication sciences theories, concepts, methods and ability to apply them originally and link them with other sciences;

- integrate different knowledge and skills in a new and unfamiliar environment; apply a systematic interdisciplinary analysis; - demonstrate a specific communication activities in the field of knowledge of the principles of solving the practical problems of professional activity; - identify the problem and to develop a scientific communication original hypothesis; - analyze, synthesize and critically evaluate data, interpret them originally; - formulate original research findings and recommendations for integrating modern communication of scientific knowledge, the test results; - manage communication and analytical tools; - analyze, develop and represent the culture of communication; - develop new communication strategies and tools; developing and adapting the communication to different groups of users; - convey knowledge about innovation and technology communication, the related context, the theoretical basis and their original solutions to professionals and the public; - work and lead the interdisciplinary team to improve its performance, initiate, develop and implement the innovation and technology communication related projects; -independently and systematically deepen empirical and theoretical knowledge, improve communication competence in their professional career; -carry out innovative communication activities in accordance with ethical principles and moral responsibility for their impact on social activities; -independently solve communication problems in an unfamiliar, changing, interdisciplinary environment.

Activities of teaching and learning:

Students are provided with a work-study schedule (evening classes). Interactive teaching forms are used: problematic teaching, case studies, discussions, presentation of scientific problems,

preparation of projects, individual and group work, expert method. Each course of study consists of a theoretical and practical part, as well as individual consultations. Scientific competences are consolidated in the master's thesis.

Methods of assessment of learning achievements (outcomes):

The principles of validity, reliability, clarity, usefulness and impartiality shall be observed in the assessment of student performance. A ten-point criterion-referenced proportional cumulative assessment system shall be used to assess knowledge and skills. A clear, detailed cumulative marking structure (formula) shall be established for the assessment of achievement in each subject. The cumulative score shall include interim assessments of knowledge and skills (examinations, reports, colloquia, mid-term reports), assessments of independent work (homework, coursework, course projects, essays, papers), and the activity and effectiveness of participation in discussions and seminars. The final grade consists of the grades obtained in the mid-term reports and the examination. The examination is written. Final paper 1, 2 is marked for credit on the basis of the completion of the prescribed assignment. The results achieved in final thesis 3 shall be evaluated on a collegiate basis, i.e. by a final thesis defence committee appointed by the Rector of the University.
