Description
An English language professional needs to be able to: - be proficient in both English and the state language when communicating orally and in writing; - translate from the state language into English and from the state language into English; - interpret and act as an intermediary; - manage business communication and information. An English language professional needs to know: - the norms and peculiarities of both the state language and English; - how English is used in everyday communication, business, business press, etc.; - the social, economic and cultural contexts of the development of English. An English language professional also needs to be able to: - communicate and cooperate; - develop a sense of professional responsibility; - think analytically, critically and creatively; - work independently and manage time.
