Description

Object of activities: painting of external and internal surfaces of buildings.
Typical work tools: personal protective equipment, brushes, rollers, paint, glue, primers, paint baths, scouring paper, mesh, blocks, tools, equipment for gluing wall coverings, etc.
Typical working conditions: working indoors and outdoors, with materials that are aggressive to the environment and people, have to work at high altitudes; the work environment can be dusty, dirty, depending on weather conditions. Due to the specifics of the work, the employee is provided with special clothing.
Additional information: the painter assistant follows the principles of occupational safety and health, ergonomics, occupational hygiene, fire safety, environmental protection, and sustainable construction. The following personal qualities are important to him: thoroughness, concentration of attention, body coordination, physical endurance, ability to work in a team. The activities of the painter assistant are coordinated and supervised by a higher-skilled employee. He performs simple actions and operations as instructed, assists and supervises a higher-skilled employee, uses written and oral information to perform tasks, and provides feedback. After obtaining this qualification, individuals will be able to work in construction companies.
Competences of qualification:
1. Store materials, products and equipment for painting according to the instructions.
2. Prepare and put in order a painter‘s work place according to the instructions.
3. Prepare surfaces of the building for painting according to the instructions.
4. Grind the coated surfaces of the building according to the instructions.
5. Primer paint the surfaces of the building according to the instructions.
6. Paint simple building elements and structures according to the instructions.
7. Assist in decorating building surfaces with wallpaper.
