Description

Object of activities: provision of social services according to the individual needs of the person, including social services that include assistance in ensuring personal hygiene.
Typical work tools: computer-aided workplace and programs; equipment for copying and scanning; cars or other tools for mobility and communication in the urban as well as in the rural communities; technical and other tools of personal safety, laundry, and food preparation; other domestic appliances (for cleaning, washing and disinfection).
Typical working conditions: indoors work or attendance of persons in their living surroundings. Work at night time. Dangerous work with persons at social risk and having mental disorders.
Additional information: the individual care worker must be familiar with the legislation, regulating rendering of social services. Qualified individuals will be able to work in organizations providing social services.
Competences of qualification:
1. Contribute to the implementation of the activity plan of the social services institution.
2. Contribute to the quality assurance of social services provided by the social service institution.
3. Monitor and record a person's behavior, emotional and physical condition.
4. Implement a person's individual social assistance plan according to the instructions of the social worker.
5. Establish and maintain a trust-based relationship with a person.
6. Empower the person according to the instructions of the social worker.
7. Develop a person's work and self-expression skills according to the instructions of the social worker and other specialists.
8. Encourage individual independence necessary in everyday life.
9. Supervise a person with a severe disability.
10. Manage and clean the person's personal belongings and premises.
11. Maintain a safe and friendly environment for the individual.
12. Provide assistance to a person in cases of aggression and self-aggression.
