General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
to train critically thinking and socially responsible organizational management specialists, able to create organizational culture based on positive leadership, assemble teams, in order to implement organizational goals and to ensure the efficiency and smooth
implementation of organizational processes
Learning outcomes:
Learning outcomes:
1. Is able to apply modern knowledge and theories of economics, management, finance, marketing and other social sciences in an integrated manner, during the implementation of organizational management processes, taking into account the needs of an organization, the results and development possibilities.
2. When solving complex tasks of a specific activity of an organization in the changing business environment, is able to apply knowledge and advanced theories of group dynamics, focus, educational and positive leadership, personal and team motivation in an integrated manner, in order to effectively achieve organizational goals.
3. Is able to carry out independent research through qualitative and quantitative research methods, to collect, structure, analyze, interpret and use information, relevant to professional activity, to formulate reasoned conclusions on research, necessary for the management and development of organizational processes.
4. Is able to plan, organize, control and manage organizational activity processes, to make suggestions for the improvement of organizational activity processes, through application of innovative principles of management and responsible leadership.
5. With the help of the created leadership model, is able to collect, structure and analyze the data of organizational activities, applying modern technologies, complying with legal norms and strengthening the organization's competitiveness in the labor market.
6. Is able to create organizational culture by using the principles of sustainable leadership, applying means of external and internal communication in order to strengthen organization in the context of creating organizational identity.
7. Is able to implement innovative projects, to make suggestions for their improvement taking into account the changing needs of the market and consumers, complying with the principles of professional ethics and legal norms as well as taking on a leading role in an organization.
8. Is able to head a team of employees in an organization, choose and apply appropriate concepts and theories, mediation principles for solving conflicts in organizations, to form interrelationships of employees, to develop organizational culture and common values in an organization.
9. Taking responsibility and aiming at a partnership-based connection with the organization's employees, is able to inspire them to improve, enable personal and professional growth of employees, in order to achieve changes inside and outside the organization
10. Is able to communicate and cooperate in Lithuanian and foreign languages with specialists, clients, business partners in one's own and other areas, plan and organize one's activities, create a full-fledged relationship of communication and cooperation in the organization, advise colleagues or their groups, in compliance with professional ethics and the principles of responsible leadership.
11. Is able to systematically and critically analyze and evaluate professional activities, knowledge and experience, make decisions, generate new ideas, study independently and develop one’s
professionalism, foreseeing lifelong learning as well as self-expression and self-development directions.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Innovative teaching and learning methods are applied, it is aimed at active student participation in the study process: a student-oriented teaching is based on practical tasks, emphasizing the importance of independent work of a student and abilities to creatively solve different situations (problem- based teaching, analysis of practical situations and case studies, creative workshops, mind and concept maps/concept maps, expert method, project method and etc.). Activating and heuristic study methods are coordinated
with traditional methods of developing knowledge and abilities: lectures, seminars, discussions and consultations.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Accumulative assessment and a ten-point assessment system are applied. Applying accumulative assessment, learning outcomes are assessed during interim tests. Course unit programmes foresee structural elements of assessment, their weight in the final assessment, content of particular assessment tasks, criteria and requirements. At the end of the studies of every course unit students take an examination or get an evaluation of independent work. The final grade consists of the component parts of accumulative assessment foreseen in the programme of a course unit (e.g.
interim tests, independent works, examination), percentages being determined in the programme of a course unit.

152 credits are allocated to the course units of the field. The following course units of the field are studied: Professional Foreign Language, Business Economics, Management, Marketing, Theoretical Research Methodology, Empirical Research Methodology, Creative Methods in Management, Finance Accounting and Taxes, Sustainable Leadership and Management, Organizational Culture and Behaviour, Strategic Management, Coaching Methods and Practices, Personal Data Protection and Management, Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management, Mediation and Conflict Management/Business Negotiations, Management of Organization Resources and Processes, Social Responsibility of Organizations/ Organizational Identity Management, Media Content Management, Career Development Psychology/ Intercultural Communication, Management of Changes and Crises, Projects on Innovation Implementation, Business Data Analysis. 12 credits must be selected in the group of course units of the field from such alternative course units: Mediation and Conflict Management/ Business Negotiations, Career Development Psychology/ Intercultural Communication, Social Responsibility of Organizations/ Organizational Identity Management.
16 credits are allocated to the general college course units. Optional course units make 12 credits.
Teaching and final internships of professional activity are carried out under real conditions of activity. The total volume of internships - 33 credits. The volume of the Final Thesis – 9 credits.

Students are able to choose optional course units for interdisciplinary studies or the development of general competences. A student chooses them from the list of optional course units offered by the SMK. The
foreseen volume of optional course units – 12 credits.

Graduates will continue their studies to obtain a bachelor's degree at the university. After completing the majority of studies or fulfilling other
requirements set by the higher education institution, they will have to enroll in second-cycle master's studies
