General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
To prepare highly qualified business management specialists who are able to implement sustainable business ideas, independently and creatively plan, organize and develop the activities of a business enterprise, study and analyze the business environment using modern scientific achievements and technologies in the implementation of sustainable economic, social and environmental goals.
Learning outcomes:
1. Will know and understand the complexity of the social environment, the problems of individual worldliness and sociability.
2. Will know and understand the peculiarities of sustainable business organization and functioning, will know and be able to critically assess the behavior of business entities in the realization of social, economic and environmental goals.
3. Will be able to practically apply the theoretical knowledge and functions of economics, marketing, accounting and management, as well as the possibilities of modern/information technologies in the implementation of innovative sustainable business management solutions.
4. Will be able to identify and analyze problems related to sustainable production and consumption, efficient use of labour resources, planning and conservation of environmental resources, market research.
5. Will know the possibilities of applying economic, financial, mathematical and statistical methods, will be able to collect information related to sustainable business activities, systematize it, properly process it, by properly choosing methods and information technologies.
6. Will understand the regulation of sustainable business and be able to follow the documents regulating sustainable business in the region, country and international space.
7. Will know and understand the sources of renewable resources, the possibilities of their responsible use and will be able to make reasonable decisions that comply with the provisions of environmental and social justice.
8. Will know the basics of finance, marketing, accounting, human resources management, process management using information systems and modern management methods and the principles of the social management concept, will be able to work individually and in a team.
9. Will be able to apply the acquired knowledge when establishing a sustainable business company or to develop provisions for socially responsible activities in an already operating company, taking responsibility for their own decisions.
10. Will be able to communicate with specialists and other persons when solving tasks of professional activity, convey knowledge and understanding in accordance with professional ethics and citizenship in Lithuanian and foreign languages.
11. Will be able to express thoughts responsibly, critically, consistently, raise problems and solve them, flexibly, non-stereotypically evaluate phenomena, aiming for comprehensive knowledge.
12. Will be able to improve independently in the field of professional activity, will be aware of the responsibility for the impact of the results of their activities on the development of a sustainable society, economy, culture, well-being and environment.
13. Will understand the need to learn and develop his professional competence throughout his life in order to be able to compete and realize himself in the labor market, to adapt to new, constantly changing requirements in the region, the country and the international space.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Traditional and non-traditional lectures, seminars, discussions, group work, project work, laboratory work, exercises, educational practices, surveys, tests, consultations, case studies, situational analysis, Brainstorming, experiment, interview, Six Hats method, Four Angles method, the method of knowing a person according to his temperament, defenses of independent works, exams, defenses of theses.

In order to promote students' motivation, consistent, continuous work during studies, a cumulative evaluation system is applied. Possible methods of assessment: tests, term papers, reports, projects, exams, final work.

Access to further study:
Graduates can continue their studies at universities in accordance with the procedure established by the higher education institution in order to obtain a master's qualification degree.
