General Description:
Objectives of a study programme:
To prepare a hotel and restaurant specialist who meets the needs of the modern labour market for work in the hospitality industry, who is familiar with the specifics of the hospitality business, who is able to independently solve problems and adapt to the constantly changing business environment; to provide a professional bachelor of business administration, which will enable graduates to compete successfully in the hospitality market.
Learning outcomes:
A1. To apply the principles of business management and the latest management theories in practical hospitality activities.
A2. To apply the fundamentals of humanities, social sciences, and other relevant theories coherently to the development and management of the hospitality business
B1. To collect, systematize, analyse, and summarize empirical (quantitative and qualitative) research data; identify hospitality business management problems; and choose appropriate problem-solving methods, integrating modern information technologies to achieve set objectives.
C1. To apply scientific and professional knowledge independently and creatively in hospitality business management, demonstrating critical thinking.
C2. To apply modern technologies for managing hospitality business processes.
D1. To communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, on matters related to the creation, management, and development of hospitality businesses, while adhering to professional ethics and principles of citizenship.
E1. To engage in lifelong learning, pursue personal growth, and develop professional competencies.
Activities of teaching and learning:
The creativity-promoting methodology Creative Platform, tasks using Fidelio and Chef Files hospitality software, situation analysis, discussions, lectures, seminars, idea-generation sessions, scenario modelling, independent work, individual and group tasks, projects, literature studies, comparative analysis, excursions, simulations, analysis of best practices, and reflections.

Access to professional activity:
Graduates will be qualified to work as assistant managers, receptionists, sales managers, or reservations managers in hotels and restaurants. They will also be capable of planning events, managing company departments, and establishing or running a hospitality business, such as a café, restaurant, agritourism farm, or hotel.

Graduates can pursue further studies in bachelor's or master's programs, either in Lithuania or abroad
