Summary of the Profile

General Description:
Objective of a study programme:
To prepare qualified specialists who are familiar with modern management and administration principles and methods, who are able to apply managerial knowledge and skills and make decisions in business and public management practice, carry out successful human resource management, who are able to plan, organize and control business processes and/or manage the activities of an organization or its unit independently and working in teams according to their acquired competence.

Learning outcomes:
A1. To know the fundamental theories and functions of management, apply them to plan, organize, manage and improve sustainable processes of organizations or their departments.
A2. To describe and analyze the external (political, economic, social, legal, etc.) environment of the organization and apply the principles of financial accounting, marketing and other process management in the organization's practical activities.
B1. To collect, systematize, analyze and summarize empirical (quantitative and qualitative) research data, formulate reasoned conclusions and provide rational recommendations to solve management problems of organizations or their departments.
C1. To apply scientific and professional knowledge to control and improve management processes independently (creatively and critically).
C2. To use modern and innovative technologies in various activities of organizations.
C3. To apply the principles of social responsibility and professional ethics and make sustainable organizational management decisions.
C4. To collect, structure and analyze the data of the organization's activities and evaluate the results of the performance of management functions, make suggestions on issues of management improvement.
D1. To communicate effectively orally and in writing with specialists from various fields and representatives of interested groups in both national and foreign languages, and to work professionally both individually and in a team, smoothly adapt to a multicultural work environment.
E1. Lifelong learning: to pursue growth according to personal choice and to improve professional competences.

Case studies, discussions, lectures, seminars, simulations, projects, individual and group exercises, benchmarking, analysis of good practice, reflection, idea generation sessions.

Interim assessment: mid-term reports (written and oral questionnaires), reflections, independent work, presentations, assessment of practical work, exam, project, portfolio of tasks, case study.

Access to professional activity:
Organization Management graduates be able to work in business organizations or public institutions as management specialists, or as managers of work groups, HR or other departments, or companies. Graduates will be able to manage projects and project activities, provide consultancy services to companies, organize and coordinate work/activities.

Access to further study:
Organization Management graduates can continue their studies in bachelor's and master's programmes in Lithuania and abroad.
