General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
The aim of Creative Industry Technologies study programme is to prepare creative-minded professional bachelors of technology having knowledge of creative industries (advertising, publishing, graphic and digital media) product development and production, able to create and implement high-quality and competitive virtual and physical products and implement advertising projects, apply materials, equipment and tools, analytical and modelling methods for product development and optimisation of technological processes, and be able to understand and evaluate the impact of technological advertising development processes on society and the commercial environment.
Learning outcomes:
1. To have basic knowledge of natural sciences and mathematics in the field of materials technology, to understand their context, concepts and content.
2. To apply the acquired knowledge and understanding to solve the technological problems of product development and production of creative industries, to analyse technological processes, to model and optimize the choice of equipment.
3. To apply technological knowledge to the development and production of products of the creative industries.
4. To design the processes of physical and digital creative industries (product development and production processes) applying appropriate methodologies.
5. To collect, analyse and systemise scientific and subject-related information on the market of creative industries and technologies and carry out experiments, to evaluate their results in the qualified manner.
6. To control software and hardware required to develop and produce products of the creative industries.
7. To plan, organise and carry out the production of the products for creative industries selecting appropriate technologies, materials and equipment.
8. To apply research results to solve technological problems of product development and production in creative industries, optimise processes and develop innovations.

10. To evaluate the quality and safety of materials, processes and products for the development and production of the creative industries, taking into account technological requirements and technical standards.

Activities of teaching and learning:
Lectures, seminars, practical assignments, laboratory work, individual/group work, presentation, discussion, practice, course paper, project of final paper, self-study.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Student’s learning achievements are evaluated using a cumulative assessment system. A ten-point scale is applied to assess knowledge and skills. The final grade consists of intermediate achievements and examination or project. Depending on the complexity of the subject, its impact on the achievement of the learning outcomes, a cumulative assessment of the subject components and their coefficient values are determined by the subject teacher. The evaluation procedures, evaluation system and evaluation criteria are based on the validity, reliability, transparency and impartiality.

Study subjects (modules), practical training:
General subjects of college studies – 15 ECTS credits (Philosophy, Speciality Language, English Language).
Scope of study field subjects – 135 ECTS credits (Mathematics, Information Technology, Creative Industries Market and Technologies, Graphic Design, Basics of Journalism, Materials Chemistry, Computer Graphics, Physics, Website Development, Basics of Law, Development of Media and Advertising Products, Media Communication, Mobile App Development, Electronic Publishing, Creative Problem Solving, Occupational Safety, Management of Creative Industry Business).
Courses of deeper studies of the same study field (specialisations)– 21 ECTS credits.
Practice:
1. Information Communication Technologies (6 credits.)

3. Media and Advertising Product Development 2 (6 credits)
4. Final Practice (12 credits).

Optional courses:
Optional courses comprise 9 credits. Students can choose any subject from Creative Industry Technologies study programme or any other study programme. Creative Industry Technologies study programme offers 6 optional subjects, each of them comprising 3 credits.
Distinctive features of a study programme:
Creative Industry Technologies study programme is the first college study programme in the field of materials technology in the group of technology study fields. This programme covers the development processes of products in the virtual (digital) and tangible (physical) creative industries.

Access to professional activity:
Graduates of Creative Industry Technologies study programme will be able to successfully integrate into the labour market in the field of digital and physical advertising product development; to develop advertising projects, to work in team of advertising creators or manage it in the advertising development, design, production, marketing, press and various profile IT and digital media enterprises.
Access to further study:
Upon completion of the study programme, the graduates exercise the right to enrol Master degree study programme in national or foreign higher education institutions.
