Summary of the Profile

General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
To train professional bachelors in finance who are able to organize the public sector and businesses‘ financial processes, make decisions, manage the investment and financial processes by using Lithuanian and foreign languages in a multicultural environment.
Learning outcomes:
• To communicate in business environment in Lithuanian and foreign languages with customers and business partners.
• To improve individually professional competence and recognize the moral responsibility for the ones ’performance.
• To collect financial information in order to apply professional innovations by using modern information technologies.
• To apply finance professional knowledge, methods of analysis and techniques.
• To prepare financial, statistical and tax reports and analyse their data.
• To provide analysis of the results for internal and external users.
• To evaluate financial performance by making suggestions based on finance, investment and risk management issues.
• To prepare and implement financial and business plans.
• To make investment and financial decisions.
• To manage and control money flow.
• To ensure the supervision of implementation of financial decisions.
Teaching and learning activities:
Are focused on development of general and special competences and creativity education: lectures, seminars, individual and group projects, practical seminars, case study, works public presentation and defence, discussions, concept map, problem reading, scientific articles preparation, information search and systematization and etc.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Evaluation of learning outcomes is performed applying the cumulative assessment during the entire semester and exam session. Learning outcomes are evaluated through the intermediate settlements: test, project, public presentation and defence, individual creative tasks, term paper, seminars, practice reports, exams and final thesis.

Document Management, Business Ethics and Social Responsibility, Computer Information Management, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics Theory, Enterprise Economics, Business Informatics, Public Procurement, Management, Marketing, Business Law, Financial Markets and Investments Management, Public Finance, Accounting, Finance Management, Tax and Tax Administration, Program Budgeting and Performance Analysis, Corporate Financial Analysis, Public Sector Entities in Accounting, Internal Control and Evaluation, Final Paper, Financial Audit.
Practices (38 credits):
Training Practice: Business Project, Professional Activity Practices: Public sector entity activity modelling, Business Entity’s activity modelling, Accounting and Analysis, Final professional Activity Practice.

Distinctive features of a study programme:
Programme is oriented into public sector and business enterprises and it is flexibly combined with other faculty programmes, which are based on the same study field. Teachers with practical experience and visiting foreign professors are teaching in a faculty. Students can study and perform practice under Erasmus+ programme abroad.

Access to professional activity:
The acquired qualification provides the opportunity to work as a financier or any other related work in state and municipal budget financed institutions, tax inspectorates, institutions of the social care system, business companies or to establish and run own business.
Access to further study:
Graduates can continue studies in Lithuania and foreign universities in a field of social sciences, business, management, finance, economics and accounting study programmes.
