Summary of the Profile

Objective(s) of a study programme:
Prepare landscape design specialists of higher education able to independently analyse factors influencing landscape, ecologically and aesthetically arrange dwelling environment, elaborate and implement landscape design plans of different cultural landscape objects.
Learning outcomes:
Professional bachelors will know ornamental, horticultural and medicinal plants, will be able to select the most suitable growing technologies, foresee and apply sanitary plant protection measures, carry out design investigations, assess the influence of economic activities on environmental quality, having assimilated artistic arrangement measures, plan and construct design plans  of different types of landscape gardens, maintain and reconstruct them, provide design and maintenance services to private owners.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Main activities of a landscape design specialist:
-          growing of ornamental plants;
-          landscape design and management;
-          construction and maintenance of landscape gardens;
-          interior use of flowers and ornamental plants.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Professional bachelor‘s qualification is awarded to graduates who have completed the study programme and have written a final thesis in the selected specialization.

-          recreational silviculture;

-          essentials of agrotourism;
Growing of ornamental plants
-          nurseries of ornamental plants;
