General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
The main aim of the study program is to prepare competent social workers who are able to optimize relationships between patients/clients and their environment enhancing a holistic approach in all levels of health care as well as social care system.
Learning outcomes:
The general learning outcome of the study program is graduates’ ability to initiate positive changes within the client’s micro and macro level social functioning applying knowledge and skills of empowerment for client’s participation and decision making in health and social care processes.

Study program teaching methods focus on developing skills of students creativity, responsibility, communication and professional ethics

Study subjects (modules), practical training:
Subjects of general university education. Professional language, fundamentals of humanities and social sciences (philosophy, ethics, cultural anthropology, sociology), fundamentals of public health, fundamentals of nursing and first aid, optional subject.
Basics of the study program: basics of communication with persons with special needs, basics of civil and labor law, developmental psychology, human relations, social assistance system, psychology of traumas and crises, social rehabilitation, interprofessional team work, research methodology I, course paper , healthcare management and quality, research methodology II, electives.
Special Education Subjects: Introduction to Social Work and Practice I, Social Work Theories and Models I, Social Work Practices, Social Work Theories and Models II, Social Work with Individual, Internship Practice, Integrated Assisted Persons with Disabilities, Social Work Health Care in the system, social work with family (multi-problem family, child welfare system, social and family law), social work in psychiatry, social work in palliative care, social now with the group, social work with the elderly, social work in the community, social now in the organization, social politics and human rights, values and ethics of social work, final thesis, elective subjects.
