General Description:
Objective(s) of a study programme:
Prepare innovative business management specialist able to implement business ideas, manage business processes based on IT technology, carry out market research for business development, professionally manage business risks in a competitive environment, negotiate within multi-cultural environment, manage information and changes, guarantee the quality of business subject activities and accordant development.
Learning outcomes:
Knowledge and its application:
•making use of legal acts regulating the selected field of activity;
•applying the economics and management theories as well as modern/information technologies/methods, making efficient and innovative business management decisions;
•collecting and analysing the data necessary to resolve problems within professional activities in the field of business management and the implementation of innovations.
Ability to carry out research:
•assessing the business environment and business opportunities;
•performing empirical studies related to the execution of responsibilities based on the prepared task;
•carrying out research using modern information and computer technologies, methods of analysis and applying their results to business development;
Special abilities:
•independent planning of the company's (subdivision's) activities;
•organizing company's (subdivision's) activities and continuous work process in the enterprise or its subdivisions;
•preparing development strategy and tactics for company's (subdivision's) activities, managing the changes;
•gathering, systematising and summarising information as well as providing information to the accounting staff;
•ensuring the quality of proceedings;
•managing and monitoring the material and financial resources, making decisions for their effective appliance;
•planning human-resource needs, organizing work and applying modern methods and social management concept principles to direct the staff.

•communicating with specialists, colleagues and other people while dealing with the challenges of professional activities, following professional ethics and public spirit;
•ability to communicate effectively and use tolerance whilst working in multicultural and in international groups and organizations;
•applying the principles of social responsibility in the professional activities in consideration to the interests of the concerned parties.

Activities of teaching and learning:

Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Cumulative assessment applies to certain results stated in the study subjects programme. Cumulative assessment components: intermediate scores, execution of practical tasks, completion of independent tasks, examination. Percentage of these components is determined in the profile of the study subject. Student's knowledge and skills during the examination is evaluated only when he meets the requirements for the assessment and tasks of the semester, stated in the profile of the study subject. Knowledge and abilities of the student is evaluated using 1 to 10 scoring system.

General college study subjects: three foreign languages (English, German, Russian), the psychology of communication.

Distinctive features of a study programme:
Study programme is oriented toward the development of professional competences, broad general abilities, and values apprehension, based on the student-oriented education, innovative knowledge presentation and ability cultivation. Students acquire ability to analyse, critical evaluation and a way to find creative solutions. The main difference is that the study programme subjects are combined into 6 modules which provides conditions to use the methods of problem-oriented teachings while integrating knowledge of the subjects and ensuring innovative studies.
Business management study programme students can study and to carry out practices abroad, to take part in student exchange programs.
Students have a chance to take part in voluntary activities according to the selected sphere of interest, to become involved in the student self-structures, organize various events and to deal with arising student problems.
